Facilities Manager - Manager, Real Estate, Facilities & Facility Security
Location: Chandler, AZ
Schedule: Working onsite 4 days a week, 1 day a week working remote from home
Compensation: Up to $125,500 base + 10% bonus (DOE)
Role Overview & Criticality
This Facilities Manager role is mission‑critical to Insight’s Arizona headquarters and broader organizational success. This hire is essential to restoring operational stability, enabling forward‑looking planning, and supporting the long‑term globalization of Insight’s facilities function. The long‑term vision for this role is growth into a senior leadership with expanded scope, aligned to Insight’s global footprint.
What You’ll Do
Lead Real Estate, Facilities & Physical Security Operations
Provide strategic and operational leadership across:
- Real estate management and lease administration
- Facility maintenance, engineering, and day‑to‑day operations
- Space planning and workplace optimization
- Mail room services and visitor experience
- Oversight of physical security services and systems
This role supports Insight’s headquarters in Chandler, AZ, along with regionally assigned locations, and serves as the primary on‑site leadership presence.
Real Estate & Financial Leadership
- Partner closely with commercial real estate brokers
- Conduct and interpret market surveys to inform site strategy
- Lead lease negotiations, renewals, expansions, and exits
- Own and manage a large facilities/real estate P&L
- Apply strong financial and business acumen to decision‑making, cost control, and long‑term planning.
People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead an initial team of approximately 6 direct reports, with the expectation of future growth
- Develop, coach, and mentor teammates into the next phase of their careers
- Foster a healthy, collaborative team dynamic built on accountability and trust
- Serve as a steady, stabilizing leader on‑site

Facilities, Safety & Security Governance
- Establish and modernize facility, safety, and physical security policies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, and other regulatory requirements
- Oversee emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, and incident response
- Lead physical security strategy, including access control, surveillance, and investigations
- Partner with local officials as needed during construction or renovation efforts
Incidents are typically minor (e.g., slip‑and‑falls, smoking violations); serious security events are rare.
Strategic Oversight (Not Hands‑On Repair)
- Mechanical and MEP knowledge is helpful, but the role emphasizes leadership, planning, vendor oversight, and governance
- Set direction and standards while delegating technical execution to internal teams and vendors
- Balance long‑term strategy with near‑term operational needs
Immediate & Near‑Term Priorities
- Documentation cleanup and organization (major early focus)
- Existing documentation is outdated
- Expectation is to bring structure, clarity, and accountability
- Major upcoming initiative: Full upgrade of the CCTV/security system
- Transition from outdated, unstable platforms to a modern, cloud‑based solution
- Tools currently in use: Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams
- Excel is heavily used today; thoughtful improvement proposals are welcome
- Policies and procedures exist but require modernization over time
Collaboration & Internal Customer Service
This role partners frequently with:
- GBS (AV, cabling, infrastructure‑related projects)
- HR (incidents, health accommodations)
- Executive Assistants (events, executive support, daily building needs)
An internal customer service mindset is non‑negotiable.
The role supports teammates and executive staff and must manage expectations diplomatically and professionally.
