We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide part-time clinical coverage of up to 12-16 hours per week. This position is ideal for a provider looking for a flexible schedule who can provide consistent weekly coverage, while also assisting with occasional additional or short-notice coverage when available.
Duties
- Evaluate and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Perform urgent care procedures as clinically appropriate
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications in accordance with Virginia regulations
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide patient education and appropriate follow-up instructions
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
- Board certification (AANP or ANCC)
- Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
- 1+ year of urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within scope of practice
- Virginia autonomous practice authority strongly preferred
- Dependable with flexibility to assist with planned and occasional short-notice coverage
Schedule
- Part-time, approximately 12–16 hours per week
- One weekday shift per week
- Saturday coverage: typically 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, with the possibility of extended hours based on practice needs
- Opportunity for additional coverage when available
