Field Manager Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field manager in Delaware?
Most Delaware field manager roles require a combination of a relevant bachelor's degree and several years of hands-on site or operations experience. Delaware does not issue a single statewide field manager license, but construction field managers typically need a Delaware contractor license through the Division of Revenue or an employer-sponsored specialty license. Certifications such as PMP, OSHA 30, or a Construction Management Professional credential strengthen applications considerably in Delaware's competitive market.
Which companies hire field managers in Delaware?
Delaware field manager roles are posted by Allan Myers, Asplundh Engineering Services, and solitude and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of chemical, pharmaceutical, and utility employers means field manager openings tend to cluster around industrial corridors in New Castle County and state infrastructure projects managed out of Dover.
Which Delaware cities have the most field manager jobs?
Wilmington, Newark, and Bear account for the largest share of field manager openings in Delaware. Wilmington dominates because of its density of corporate headquarters, hospital systems, and industrial facilities, while Dover draws openings tied to state government infrastructure and distribution operations, and Newark benefits from proximity to the University of Delaware and its related facilities and construction activity.
Are there remote field manager jobs in Delaware?
Yes, but they're rare. Field manager work is inherently site-dependent, so most roles require a physical presence at project locations or facilities. About 60% of field manager openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to involve the administrative, reporting, or vendor-coordination portions of larger multi-site roles rather than true full-remote positions.
How can I get hired as a field manager in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an assistant field manager, field coordinator, or site technician role with a Delaware general contractor or utility employer. Companies like PSEG Power Delaware and larger construction firms operating in New Castle County regularly bring on field coordinators who move into management after demonstrating site competency. Completing an OSHA 10 or 30 certification and obtaining a Delaware contractor registration early signals readiness to employers and meaningfully distinguishes candidates without a long supervisory history.
Where can I find and apply to field manager jobs in Delaware?
You can find and apply to field manager jobs in Delaware on Migrate Mate, which lists current Delaware openings. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
