Financial Planning Analyst Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial planning analyst in Georgia?
Most financial planning analyst roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics as a minimum entry point. There is no state-issued license specific to corporate FP&A work in Georgia, but candidates who pursue the CFA credential through the CFA Institute or the CFP certification through the CFP Board gain a measurable edge with Georgia's largest employers in financial services, healthcare, and corporate headquarters.
How much do financial planning analysts make in Georgia?
Financial planning analysts in Georgia earn a median of about $99,420 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $66,140 for the lowest 10% to over $167,700 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire financial planning analysts in Georgia?
Employers hiring financial planning analysts in Georgia right now include The Coca-Cola Company, Jobot, and BRAVEN, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's density of Fortune 500 headquarters, major insurers, and large healthcare systems means consistent FP&A demand across industries well beyond financial services alone.
Which Georgia cities have the most financial planning analyst jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Peachtree Corners have the most financial planning analyst openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the majority of demand as the state's corporate and financial services hub, while Alpharetta's concentration of technology and fintech firms and Savannah's growing logistics and port-related industries support steady hiring outside the metro core.
Are there remote financial planning analyst jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 73% of financial planning analyst openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally desk-based and data-driven the role is. Modeling, variance reporting, and budget consolidation are the tasks most commonly performed fully remotely, while roles tied to leadership presentations or cross-functional planning tend to favor hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a financial planning analyst in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a financial analyst or junior analyst role at one of Georgia's large corporate employers, where rotational finance programs at companies like Delta Air Lines or major Atlanta-based healthcare systems give new graduates structured exposure to FP&A work. Candidates from accounting, audit, or business analyst backgrounds are frequently considered for lateral moves into FP&A. Completing the CFA Level I exam or earning an Excel or financial modeling certificate signals commitment and closes experience gaps effectively.
Where can I find and apply to financial planning analyst jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to financial planning analyst jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match.
