At Visual Edge IT, we believe great business decisions start with great insight. As a growing technology organization, we’re looking for an analytical, curious, and business-minded FP&A Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team and help turn financial and operational data into decisions that move the business forward.
This is not a traditional reporting role. As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll go beyond the numbers to understand why performance looks the way it does, connect operational activity to financial outcomes, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities to improve business performance. You’ll work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, IT, and other business leaders to develop meaningful analysis, improve visibility, and support strategic company initiatives.
If you enjoy solving complex business problems, working with large datasets, building financial models, and translating analysis into clear recommendations, this role gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization.
- Perform financial and operational analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and the key drivers behind business performance.
- Develop financial models, business cases, scenario analyses, and other analytical tools to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple systems and translate information into actionable business insights.
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards, management reporting packages, and analytical tools that improve visibility into business performance.
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Leverage Business Intelligence tools and reporting platforms to expand analytical capabilities and improve how leaders access and use information.
- Present financial findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to Finance, business leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Support executive, Board, and lender reporting requirements with accurate, meaningful, and timely analysis.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and analysis, streamline processes, and improve the efficiency and quality of financial information.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Proactively identify business risks and opportunities and help translate findings into actions that improve performance.
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, IT, and other functions to serve as a trusted analytical partner to the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, corporate finance, consulting, or a related analytical role.
- Strong financial analysis, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools.
- Experience working with large datasets and Business Intelligence tools.
- Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear, concise business recommendations.
- Strong analytical curiosity and a demonstrated desire to understand the business drivers behind financial results—not simply report the numbers.
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build credibility with business leaders.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with OneStream, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics platforms is preferred.
- MBA or other advanced certifications are a plus, but not required.

Financial Planning Analyst Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial planning analyst in Florida?
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics is the standard entry point for financial planning analyst roles in Florida. No state-issued license is required for most corporate FP&A positions, but earning a Certified Financial Planner designation through the CFP Board significantly strengthens your candidacy, particularly at Florida wealth management firms and insurance companies. Starting in staff accountant or junior analyst roles at Florida-based corporations or regional banks is the most common path upward.
How much do financial planning analysts make in Florida?
Financial planning analysts in Florida earn a median of about $94,490 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $60,620 for the lowest 10% to over $155,470 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire financial planning analysts in Florida?
Employers hiring financial planning analysts in Florida right now include Royal Caribbean, ADMA Biologics, and KLS Martin, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of insurance carriers, regional banks, and large corporate headquarters across Miami, Tampa, and Orlando keeps demand for this role consistent throughout the year.
Which Florida cities have the most financial planning analyst jobs?
Miami, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale have the most financial planning analyst openings in Florida. Miami leads because of its dense concentration of financial services, private equity, and multinational corporate offices, while Tampa's growing finance and insurance sector drives strong demand, and Orlando's large hospitality and healthcare corporations generate steady FP&A hiring across their internal finance teams.
Are there remote financial planning analyst jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields, since financial planning analysis is fundamentally a desk-based, data-driven role that translates well to remote work. About 37% of financial planning analyst openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader trends in corporate finance. Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling work tends to be the most remote-friendly, while roles requiring close collaboration with executive leadership are more likely to require in-office presence.
How can I get hired as a financial planning analyst in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for junior financial analyst or finance rotational program roles at Florida's large employers. Companies like Publix Super Markets, AdventHealth, and Florida Blue run structured rotational or associate finance programs designed for recent graduates. Moving laterally from a staff accountant or financial reporting coordinator role is also common. Earning your CFP or completing a financial modeling certification gives candidates a measurable edge when competing for entry-level openings in Florida's corporate finance market.
Where can I find and apply to financial planning analyst jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to financial planning analyst jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your experience and target city, and apply directly to each employer without creating a profile or signing up.
