INTRODUCTION
Dataiku is the Platform for AI Success, the enterprise orchestration layer for building, deploying, and governing AI. In a single environment, teams design and operate analytics, machine learning, and AI agents with the transparency, collaboration, and control enterprises require. Sitting above data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and AI services, Dataiku connects the full enterprise AI stack — empowering organizations to run AI across multi-vendor environments with centralized governance.
The world’s leading companies rely on Dataiku to operationalize AI and run it as a true business performance engine delivering measurable value.
Dataiku's Financial Systems team is the operational backbone of how the finance organization runs. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys owning a system, solving real problems for real people, and who gets excited when their work makes end users’ lives meaningfully better.
NetSuite is at the center of this role, but the ceiling is much higher: this is a growth position where you will quickly ramp up to handle cross-system ticketing and help lead critical optimization projects across our entire financial stack, including Coupa and Navan. Furthermore, we're actively building AI agents inside our financial systems stack, and the person who joins now will have a front-row seat and a real contribution to what comes next.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take full ownership of NetSuite administration: Manage workflows, configurations, user access, and the day-to-day ticket queue, becoming the go-to expert the Finance and Accounting teams actually want to call.
- Ramp up and expand into Coupa and Navan: Gradually scale your impact to own the administration and day-to-day ticket queues across all primary tools as you get up to speed; this role grows with you.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues end-to-end: Troubleshoot issues across the tech stack, from an AP clerk's procurement question to root cause analysis for system errors, ensuring proper documentation at every step.
- Execute finance system projects: Actively work on and help lead financial application updates, tool integrations, and process optimization projects to scale our ecosystem.
- Maintain rigorous change controls: Enforce internal documentation standards so every system modification and project deployment is traceable, auditable, and clean.
- Build trusted relationships across the business: Your stakeholders range from junior accountants to the Chief Accounting Officer, and you'll interact with all of them directly to deliver successful projects.
- Get involved in innovation: Help build and test AI agents within our financial systems stack to automate workflows.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Must-haves:
- Hands-on NetSuite administration experience: Deep familiarity with workflows, saved searches, system configurations, and a solid grip on the full admin toolkit.
- Eagerness to support a multi-system ecosystem: Motivation to quickly learn, own administrative tasks, and manage ticket queues for Coupa and Navan alongside NetSuite.
- Comfort working independently.
- Project management and leadership mindset: Ability to help structure, execute, and lead system improvement projects from requirements to completion.
- Strong controls discipline: You document changes, you understand why controls exist, and you treat your cross-platform ticket queue like a professional record.
- Very good communication: A strong customer service orientation is core to how this team operates.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Nice-to-haves:
- Advanced platform expertise: Experience with Zone Advanced Billing or the Fixed Assets module within NetSuite.
- Prior platform exposure: Direct Coupa or Navan experience, or familiarity with other procurement/travel tools in the finance stack.
- Integration or AI Savvy: Experience with integrations (either natively through platforms or via middleware/customization), and/or AI platforms (in building custom KPI dashboards/reporting, reverse ETL automations, webapps, etc.).
- Professional background: Background in consulting, public accounting, or working at a SaaS company with a complex or hybrid revenue model.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
Beyond the requirements, here's what the team is genuinely hoping to find:
- You've worked in a complex NetSuite environment: Experience with on-premise revenue recognition, multi-entity setups, or non-standard billing models will let you ramp faster.
- You're genuinely curious about AI and automation: You've thought about, read about, or tinkered with automation in the context of financial systems; we're building real agents, and intellectual curiosity here is a real differentiator.
- You can translate system logic into plain language: The ability to explain what you did, why you did it, and what it means for the business without the jargon is something this team values and uses every day.
Compensation and Benefits
The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training. Eligible roles may also be entitled to receive commission or other variable compensation through Dataiku's incentive compensation program.
Dataiku also offers comprehensive benefits, including stock options, medical, dental, and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, a 401k company match, paid vacations and sick leave, paid parental leave, employer paid disability coverage, and additional health and wellbeing perks and benefits. Tips for Your Financial Systems Manager Job Search
Quantify your ERP implementation outcomes
Recruiters screening financial systems manager resumes look for measurable results tied to system rollouts. Call out cycle time reductions, reconciliation error rates cut, or close periods shortened after a migration you led. Vague ownership of an ERP project won't differentiate you.
List every system and module by name
Hiring managers search applicant tracking systems by tool name. If you've worked in Workday Financials, Oracle Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, or NetSuite, name each module explicitly. A generic reference to 'ERP platforms' won't surface your resume in filtered searches.
Target postings that align with your system stack
Financial systems manager roles differ sharply by platform. A posting requiring SAP FICO experience is functionally a different job from one built around Workday HCM integrations. Apply to roles where your primary system matches what the employer runs in production.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists financial systems manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare a system failure story for interviews
Panels for this role almost always ask how you handled a reporting outage, a failed data migration, or a compliance gap caught during audit. Prepare a specific example with a clear root cause, your decision process, and the resolution. Vague answers cost offers at this level.
Negotiate scope before you negotiate salary
Before accepting an offer, clarify whether the role owns system architecture decisions or only administers what IT controls. Financial systems managers who don't establish that boundary early often find themselves doing help-desk triage instead of strategic work within six months.
Financial Systems Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most financial systems managers?
The companies hiring the most financial systems managers right now include Community Financial System, BDO, and Cardinal Health, with the largest share of openings in Illinois, Texas, and New York, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Demand is highest at large enterprises undergoing ERP migrations or finance transformation programs.
How many financial systems manager jobs are remote?
About 29% of financial systems manager openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with remote work most common in roles focused on cloud-based ERP administration, financial reporting configuration, and systems integration work that doesn't require on-site access to legacy infrastructure or data centers.
How do you become a financial systems manager?
Start with a finance, accounting, or information systems degree, then build hands-on experience as a financial analyst or systems analyst working directly with ERP platforms. Move into system administration or project lead roles on implementation teams, earn a relevant ERP certification, and demonstrate ownership of at least one full-cycle system migration or major process redesign before targeting manager-level postings.
Can you get a financial systems manager job with limited experience?
Getting hired with limited experience is possible if you've been the primary ERP administrator on a smaller system, even without the title. Employers weigh demonstrated ownership of financial close processes, integrations, or a module rollout more heavily than years of service. A relevant certification such as Workday Pro or SAP Financial Accounting can offset a shorter work history when paired with a clear example of a systems problem you owned and solved.
What does the financial systems manager interview process look like?
The process typically runs three to four stages. An initial screen with HR focuses on your system background and career history. A technical interview with finance and IT leadership tests your ERP knowledge, SQL fluency, and how you've handled integrations or data quality issues. A final round often includes a case study or presentation on how you'd approach a system audit, migration, or close-process improvement at that company.
Where can I find and apply to financial systems manager jobs?
You can find and apply to financial systems manager jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Search the listings to find roles that match your system background and experience level, then apply directly to each one that fits.
