Field Operations Coordinator roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field. Employers file PERM labor certification with DOL before sponsoring permanent residency, making this a long-term pathway rather than a temporary work authorization.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Field Operations Coordinator
Document your degree-to-role alignment early
PERM requires your degree field to align with the Field Operations Coordinator duties. Gather transcripts, credential evaluations, and job descriptions from past roles that show direct alignment before you begin your job search.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Search DOL disclosure data for employers who have previously filed PERM applications for operations or logistics coordinator titles. A company that has done this before understands the process and is far less likely to withdraw sponsorship mid-filing.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Filter your job search by green card sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. It surfaces Field Operations Coordinator roles at employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 filing records, cutting out companies that won't sponsor permanent residency.
Clarify sponsorship intent before accepting an offer
Ask directly during the offer stage whether the employer will initiate PERM. Get confirmation that their HR or legal team has handled EB-3 sponsorship before, since PERM requires the employer to run a supervised recruitment process that not all companies are prepared for.
Understand how your job duties affect EB-2 eligibility
EB-2 requires the role to normally demand an advanced degree. If your position involves supervisory scope, cross-functional coordination, or specialized logistics systems, work with your employer to frame the job requirements accurately in the PERM application to support EB-2 classification.
Check prevailing wage requirements using OFLC Wage Search
PERM mandates your employer pay at least the prevailing wage for your role and location. Look up the applicable wage level through OFLC Wage Search before negotiating your offer, so you can confirm the proposed salary meets DOL requirements for your specific geographic area.
Green Card Field Operations Coordinator: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Field Operations Coordinator role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Field Operations Coordinator positions qualify under EB-3 as a skilled worker requiring a bachelor's degree. EB-2 applies when the role normally requires an advanced degree or the employer can demonstrate the position demands specialized expertise above a standard four-year degree. The job description filed with the PERM application determines which category USCIS uses to evaluate the petition.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
Green card sponsorship through PERM leads to permanent residency rather than temporary status, so there's no renewal cycle or annual cap lottery to survive at the EB-3 level for most nationalities. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification, I-140 approval, and adjustment of status can take two to four years or longer depending on your country of birth, compared to an H-1B visa that activates within months of approval.
What does the PERM process require from my employer for this role?
Your employer must conduct a supervised recruitment process managed by DOL to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the Field Operations Coordinator position. They post job ads, review applications, and document the results before filing the PERM application. The employer must also pay your prevailing wage as determined by DOL and cover all PERM-related legal costs under federal rules.
Where can I find Field Operations Coordinator jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It lets you filter roles by EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history, so you can focus on employers who have filed PERM applications for operations and logistics titles before. This removes the uncertainty of applying to companies that list sponsorship as possible but have no track record of following through.
Can I switch employers after my PERM is filed but before I get my green card?
Portability rules under AC21 allow you to change employers after your I-140 is approved and your adjustment of status application has been pending for at least 180 days, as long as the new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification. For Field Operations Coordinators, a comparable operations management or logistics coordination role at another employer would typically qualify under this provision.
