Working across NRG’s portfolio of energy brands (Reliant, Direct Energy, Green Mountain Energy, and others), the Integrated Campaign Manager collaborates closely with Go-To-Market, CX, and product teams, and brings together data, creative, and technology to drive customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Campaign Planning & End-to-End Execution:
- Own the build, QA, and launch of omnichannel lifecycle campaigns including onboarding, renewal, retention, move/transfer, and crisis communications sequences.
- Translate campaign briefs and strategic frameworks into fully configured journeys and campaigns.
- Develop and manage campaign timelines and delivery schedules, ensuring on-time execution across all active workstreams.
- Coordinate creative, copy, and legal review of workflows, ensuring all campaign assets are accurate, brand-compliant, and ready for deployment.
Cross-Channel Integration & Journey Orchestration:
- Drive seamless integration of email, SMS, in-app, direct mail, and outbound channels within unified customer journeys, ensuring a cohesive experience across every touchpoint.
- Build and manage multi-step, trigger-based campaign sequences that reflect the customer's lifecycle, from onboarding through renewal and churn prevention.
- Partner with the Lifecycle team, Retention team and channel owners to identify the optimal channel mix for each campaign objective for maximum impact.
- Support crisis communications execution (severe weather, outages) with rapid campaign builds and real-time deployment within established marketing workflows.
Campaign Analysis, Testing & Optimization:
- Monitor campaign performance across key metrics (open rate, click rate, conversion, churn impact, revenue influence) and deliver regular reporting with actionable insights.
- Design and execute creative tests to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and inform future planning cycles.
- Partner with analytics and data teams to validate audience lists, track behavioral signals, and ensure measurement frameworks are in place before launching.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Go-To-Market, Customer Experience, Legal, and Product teams to align campaign messaging, offers, and timing with broader business objectives.
- Coordinate with creative and content partners to ensure assets are delivered on brief and on schedule.
- Maintain clear project documentation, campaign logs, and status updates to keep stakeholders aligned across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in marketing, campaign management, project management, brand management or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
- Experience with customer lifecycle strategies including onboarding, renewals, retention, and churn prevention programs.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously without losing quality or accuracy.
- Proven track record of building and launching end-to-end omnichannel campaigns, including audience segmentation, trigger logic, and performance measurement.
Preferred:
- Experience in Adobe Workfront.
- Energy industry or consumer products experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in crisis or issue management strongly preferred.
- Highly collaborative and comfortable working across teams and building relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail in campaign configuration, QA, and content review.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate campaign plans and performance outcomes to cross-functional partners.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and drive work forward with minimal direction.

Document campaign metrics before your interview
PERM requires employers to prove the role is genuinely specialized. Compile quantifiable results from past campaigns, including ROI data and audience reach, so you can demonstrate the advanced marketing expertise that justifies an EB-2 or EB-3 petition.
Verify your degree field matches the job posting
USCIS scrutinizes degree-to-role alignment for marketing positions. A degree in communications, business, or advertising typically supports a PERM filing; a degree in an unrelated field can trigger a Request for Evidence that delays your green card timeline by months.
Target employers with established PERM filing history
Search for Marketing Campaign Manager roles at companies that have previously sponsored PERM applications in your occupation category. Use Migrate Mate to filter jobs by green card sponsorship history, so you spend your time on employers already familiar with the process.
Ask about prevailing wage levels during salary negotiations
DOL assigns your role a wage level during PERM, which determines the minimum offer your employer can make. Check the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating so your offered salary meets the prevailing wage requirement and doesn't stall your labor certification.
Clarify who carries the filing costs before signing an offer
PERM attorney fees and I-140 filing costs are legally the employer's responsibility, but some companies structure these into total compensation packages. Confirm in writing which fees your employer covers before you accept an offer tied to green card sponsorship.
Understand that EB-3 sponsorship has no annual lottery
Unlike H-1B visa, EB-3 green card sponsorship isn't subject to a lottery. For most countries outside India and China, priority date backlogs are short. Once your employer files the PERM and USCIS approves the I-140, your path to permanent residency moves on a predictable timeline.
Green Card Marketing Campaign Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Marketing Campaign Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most Marketing Campaign Manager positions qualify for EB-3 sponsorship as skilled professional roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree. If the position requires an advanced degree or the employer can document that the role demands graduate-level expertise in areas like data analytics or integrated marketing strategy, EB-2 sponsorship may also be available. The specific classification depends on how the employer defines the minimum requirements in the PERM labor certification filing.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B is a temporary work visa capped at 85,000 per year and subject to an annual lottery. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no lottery, no annual cap for EB-3 at most nationalities, and leads to permanent residency rather than a time-limited work authorization. The PERM process takes longer upfront, typically one to two years from labor certification through I-140 approval, but the outcome is lawful permanent residency rather than a visa that requires renewal every three years.
What does the PERM labor certification process require for a marketing role?
Your employer files the PERM application with DOL to demonstrate that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role at the prevailing wage. This requires a formal recruitment effort, including job postings that match the actual minimum requirements of the position. For marketing roles, the employer must document that a bachelor's degree in a specific field is genuinely required, not just preferred, and that the offered salary meets the DOL prevailing wage for your geographic area.
How do I find Marketing Campaign Manager jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
Most job boards don't filter by green card sponsorship, which means sorting through hundreds of postings with no indication of whether PERM filing is on the table. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you find Marketing Campaign Manager roles at employers with documented green card sponsorship history so you can focus on opportunities where a PERM petition is realistic from the start.
Can my employer start the PERM process while I'm on an H-1B?
Yes, and filing early has a practical advantage. USCIS allows H-1B extensions beyond the standard six-year maximum if your employer has filed a PERM application or I-140 at least 365 days before your H-1B expiration date. For Marketing Campaign Manager roles, starting the green card process while you're still on H-1B status protects your ability to stay authorized during the multi-year PERM and adjustment of status timeline.
