Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Operations
Match your credentials to the right EB category
Operations roles with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, or a related field typically qualify under EB-3. If you hold a master's or MBA with specialized focus, document it carefully to pursue EB-2, which can mean shorter wait times for some nationalities.
Target employers with active PERM filing histories
Manufacturing conglomerates, third-party logistics firms, and large distribution networks file PERM applications regularly. Search DOL disclosure data to identify which operations employers have sponsored foreign workers in your specific SOC code before reaching out.
Search green card sponsoring jobs on Migrate Mate
Filter by operations job titles and sponsorship type on Migrate Mate to surface employers already running active EB-2 or EB-3 PERM processes. This cuts out the guesswork of cold-applying to companies with no green card filing history.
Clarify the prevailing wage tier during offer negotiations
Your employer must certify your offered wage meets the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location, determined using the OFLC Wage Search. Understand which of the four wage levels your position falls under before accepting an offer, since it affects both PERM eligibility and compensation benchmarking.
Build a PERM-ready credential file before your job search
PERM requires documenting your education and work experience precisely as stated in the job requirements. Gather foreign degree equivalency evaluations, official transcripts, and reference letters from past supervisors now, so your employer's attorney can move quickly once an offer is made.
Understand how concurrent filing affects your timeline
If your priority date is current at I-140 approval, USCIS allows concurrent filing of I-140 and I-485 adjustment of status. For operations professionals from high-backlog countries, this distinction in timing can compress or extend your path to permanent residency by years.

Find Operations JobsOperations Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do operations roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most operations roles qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers, requiring at least two years of training or experience. Roles demanding a master's degree or an advanced specialty, such as a director of operations with an MBA and documented specialized expertise, may qualify under EB-2. Your employer's attorney will assess the job requirements and your credentials to determine the correct category before filing PERM.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for operations jobs?
H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant status, capped at 85,000 annually and subject to a lottery. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no annual cap at the EB-3 petition level and leads to permanent residency. The process takes longer, often two to four years depending on your nationality and priority date, but results in a green card rather than a status that must be renewed every three years.
What does the PERM labor certification process look like for an operations employer?
Your employer must conduct a supervised recruitment process, placing job ads and documenting that no qualified U.S. worker was available for the role. DOL then reviews and certifies the application. The employer controls this step, not you, but you should confirm upfront that they have experience filing PERM, since errors during recruitment can restart the entire process.
How can I find operations employers who sponsor green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you search operations jobs filtered specifically by EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship, so you're only seeing employers with active or recent PERM filing history. This is more reliable than filtering general job boards by keywords like 'visa sponsorship,' which often returns H-1B results or outdated postings that don't reflect the employer's current PERM capacity.
Can I change operations employers during the green card process without losing my place?
Once your I-140 has been approved for at least 180 days and your I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days, you can port to a new employer in the same or similar occupational classification under AC21 portability rules. Operations roles share a SOC code structure, so a move from one supply chain management role to another is generally portable, but confirm the new role's similarity with an immigration attorney before switching.
