The Opportunity
Future focused and always one step ahead!
The Distribution & Sales Analyst supports business development, distribution strategy, and underwriting priorities for the US and Canada by delivering actionable insights and targeted market intelligence. This role partners closely with client-facing teams to enhance prospecting, deepen client relationships, and support growth initiatives.
The analyst conducts research across clients, brokers, industries, competitors, and our data, synthesizing findings into clear, decision-ready briefings that inform sales strategy and client engagement. While grounded in strong analytical capabilities, the role is focused on translating data into practical, forward-looking information that support driving business outcomes.
This position requires the ability to communicate insights effectively to internal stakeholders and, on occasion, to clients and broker partners. It is well-suited for individuals seeking to build expertise in commercial insurance and some reinsurance, underwriting strategy, and distribution, while gaining increasing exposure to brokers and clients. Over time, the role offers a pathway toward more externally facing responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze sales, distribution, and market data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and presentations for sales leadership and business stakeholders.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support business development and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with Sales, Distribution, Underwriting, Operations, IT, and Marketing to gather requirements and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Develop and maintain understanding of appetite across all F&C lines of business.
- Can coordinate meetings, trainings, communications, and follow-through across multiple stakeholders.
- Support CRM-related activities, reporting accuracy, and process improvements that enhance team effectiveness.
- Prepare market reviews, financial and contractual comparisons, rate analyses, and other ad hoc business analyses.
- Assist with executive and client-facing activities, including meeting preparation, review materials, and follow-up communications.
- Contribute to business development projects, sales enablement materials, and distribution support initiatives.
- Maintain and organize distribution content, reports, and shared resources to ensure timely access to relevant information.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, streamline workflows, and strengthen data quality across the function.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in the Property & Casualty space, ideally with exposure to large and complex accounts. Preference for commercial insurance background in underwriting or brokerage; reinsurance will be considered.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
- Ability to plan large or small client or management events.
- Data analysis techniques (e.g., A/B testing, association rule learning, cluster analysis, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide practical business recommendations.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of ownership and initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort interacting in both internal and client-facing settings.
- Willingness to explore new technologies to enhance day-to-day output.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Sales Analyst
Align your degree to the role
PERM requires your foreign degree to match the Sales Analyst job requirements. A degree in business analytics, economics, or marketing maps cleanly. A degree in an unrelated field can trigger an RFE at the I-140 stage, so document the connection explicitly in your resume.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Search OFLC disclosure data for companies that have previously filed PERM applications for Sales Analyst or Business Analyst roles. Employers already familiar with the labor certification process move faster and are less likely to abandon sponsorship partway through.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Filter Sales Analyst openings by green card sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. You'll see which employers have filed EB-2 or EB-3 petitions for this role category, so you're applying where sponsorship is a real outcome, not a hiring manager's vague promise.
Ask about the PERM timeline before accepting
Employers typically wait six to twelve months before starting PERM after you're hired. Ask whether the company has an established sponsorship policy and who internally manages the DOL filing process, so you're not surprised by delays after you've already started.
Verify the prevailing wage before your offer
PERM requires your employer to pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your Sales Analyst role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the wage level before negotiating your offer, since the certified wage becomes the floor for your entire green card process.
Build credential evidence for an EB-2 filing
If you hold a master's degree or have progressive responsibility in sales operations, revenue analytics, or forecasting, document it before applying. EB-2 requires proof of an advanced degree or equivalent, and USCIS will want transcripts, translated credentials, and a credential evaluation for foreign degrees.
Green Card Sales Analyst: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Sales Analyst role qualify for an EB-2 or EB-3 green card?
Sales Analyst positions most commonly qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers when the employer requires a bachelor's degree. EB-2 applies if the role requires an advanced degree or if you can demonstrate the equivalent through a combination of education and progressive professional experience. Your employer's job description and your credentials determine which category fits.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for a Sales Analyst?
An H-1B visa is a temporary status requiring renewal every three years, subject to the annual lottery. Green card sponsorship through PERM and I-140 leads to permanent residency with no cap concerns at the EB-3 level for many countries. The trade-off is timeline: the PERM and I-140 process typically takes one to two years before you even reach the visa queue, whereas an H-1B can begin within months.
What does the PERM labor certification process require for Sales Analyst roles?
Your employer must conduct a supervised recruitment campaign through DOL to demonstrate no minimally qualified U.S. worker is available for the position. This includes job postings, newspaper advertisements, and internal notices. The employer then files the ETA Form 9089 with DOL. For Sales Analyst roles, the job requirements listed on the PERM application must match what the employer genuinely needs, not an inflated description designed to exclude candidates.
How do I find Sales Analyst employers who actually sponsor green cards?
Search for Sales Analyst roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces employers with documented EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history. PERM filing records are publicly available through DOL, so you can verify an employer's track record before applying. Targeting companies that have completed PERM successfully before dramatically increases your chances of reaching the I-140 stage.
Can my employer start the green card process while I'm on OPT or an H-1B?
Yes. Employers can file PERM while you're working on any valid status, including OPT or H-1B. If you're on H-1B, an approved I-140 petition also protects your ability to extend your H-1B beyond six years under AC21 portability rules, giving you continued work authorization while your priority date becomes current.
