Who Are We Looking For?
Vestwell is looking for a Senior Brand Designer to own creative execution across every channel and surface — from integrated campaigns and event experiences to web, email, social, and sales collateral. This is a high-ownership, high-volume role on the Marketing team: you will independently manage a multi-workstream design queue, bring a clear visual POV to every brief, and be the connective tissue between strategy and finished creative.
You will partner with Content, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Sales, and external vendors, while also running the design intake process that keeps the whole marketing org moving. The right person is equally at home concepting a campaign and shipping a co-branded one-pager before noon.
What Will You Be Doing?
Design Creative Strategy
- Experience building and maintaining design systems — you create reusable components, enforce visual consistency, and evolve the system as the brand grows
- Strong creative concepting skills — you can take a brief from whiteboard to moodboard to finished campaign with a clear point of view
- Demonstrated ability to build visual brand recall in market across campaigns, channels, and audiences
- High-volume, multi-workstream ownership — you manage several concurrent projects across different teams and deadlines without losing quality or momentum
- Independently own a brief end-to-end: intake, concept, stakeholder alignment, production, and delivery
- Experience across print, physical, and digital mediums — you are as comfortable designing a conference booth as a display ad
- Brings a clear POV through visual storytelling — your work has a perspective, not just execution
- Co-brand fluency — experience managing partner or co-branded materials programs, including versioning, approvals, and brand governance across a partner ecosystem
- Comfortable managing and directing external vendors: photographers, videographers, illustrators, and web developers
Events & Physical
- End-to-end design for the Vestwell event experience
- Conference booth activations, signage, and environmental design
- Branded merchandise and swag
- OOH campaign assets
Campaigns & Brand
- GTM creative for new product and feature launches
- Integrated brand campaign assets across channels
- Brand system extensions
- Creative concepting: moodboards, visual directions, and campaign frameworks
Growth & Digital
- Growth channel digital ads: display, Meta, Reddit, and other paid formats — multiple sizes and personas
- Ongoing social media creative for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms
- Landing pages for campaigns, gated content, and partner-specific experiences
- Email design and HubSpot template build/deployment
Sales Enablement & Collateral
- One-pagers, decks, and webinar visuals
- RFP and proposal design
- Co-branded partner materials — logos, collateral, and partner-specific versioning
- App screen and product UI support as needed
Design Operations
- Own and manage the marketing design request intake process — triage the Asana queue, prioritize across stakeholders, and run a weekly design sync
- Onboard new teammates and stakeholders to the design request workflow
- Maintain and organize Figma files and the shared media library
- Coordinate with external vendors and freelancers on timelines and deliverables
REQUIREMENTS
The Necessities
- 5+ years of brand or marketing design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or fintech
- A portfolio that demonstrates both creative range and consistent brand thinking — across digital and physical
- Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where you are managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication — you give clear feedback, write tight creative briefs, and can explain your design decisions
- Low-ego collaborative style: you work well with opinionated stakeholders and know when to hold your ground and when to flex
- High attention to detail and a strong visual standard — you notice when something is off and you fix it
- Figma (Pro) — expert-level, including components, auto-layout, prototyping, and file organization for team use
- Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, and related tools for production-level work
- InDesign — for print-ready collateral, sales materials, and multi-page documents
- HubSpot CMS — designing and building/deploying landing pages and email templates directly in HubSpot

Align your portfolio to PERM documentation
PERM requires your employer to define the job's minimum requirements before advertising. Make sure your portfolio explicitly demonstrates those qualifications so the I-140 petition aligns with what was advertised during labor certification.
Verify your degree field matches the role
USCIS scrutinizes whether your degree field directly relates to brand design. A degree in graphic design, visual communications, or marketing strengthens your EB-2 or EB-3 classification; unrelated degrees may require additional evidence of specialized training.
Target employers with in-house legal infrastructure
Companies with dedicated immigration counsel move through PERM, I-140, and adjustment of status faster than those using outside counsel for the first time. Look for employers whose job postings already reference green card sponsorship for design roles specifically.
Search green card sponsorship history through Migrate Mate
Filter by job title and employer to see which companies have a documented track record of sponsoring brand designers for employment-based green cards. Migrate Mate surfaces PERM and I-140 filing history so you can prioritize outreach strategically.
Request prevailing wage clarity before accepting an offer
Before signing an offer letter, ask which PERM wage level your employer intends to certify. DOL assigns wage levels I through IV; a Level I certification can complicate I-140 approval if your experience clearly exceeds entry-level benchmarks. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the going rate for your region.
Understand EB-3 priority dates before your start date
If you're from a high-demand country like India or China, your EB-3 priority date determines when you can file for adjustment of status. Confirm your employer will file the I-140 quickly after PERM certification to lock in the earliest possible priority date.
Green Card Senior Brand Designer: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Senior Brand Designer role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Senior Brand Designer positions typically qualify under EB-3 as a skilled worker requiring at least two years of training or experience, and under EB-2 if the employer defines the role as requiring an advanced degree or equivalent. The distinction depends on how your employer drafts the PERM job description and whether the role genuinely requires a master's-level qualification or its equivalent in the design field.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
Unlike the H-1B visa, employment-based green card sponsorship through PERM is permanent and not subject to an annual lottery. The process takes longer because the employer must first complete DOL labor certification, then file an I-140 with USCIS before you can adjust status. For most countries, EB-3 green card processing for a brand designer runs two to four years in total, but there are no randomized selection concerns at the initial filing stage.
What PERM documentation is most commonly required for a Senior Brand Designer?
Your employer must advertise the position through DOL-mandated recruitment channels and document that no qualified U.S. workers applied. For a senior design role, the job description must specify minimum requirements like a bachelor's degree in a design-related field plus years of brand strategy experience. USCIS will compare your actual credentials to those requirements when reviewing the I-140 petition.
How can I find Senior Brand Designer jobs that already sponsor green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings specifically by employment-based green card sponsorship history, so you can identify which employers have filed PERM applications or I-140 petitions for design roles before. Targeting companies with that documented track record saves time compared to asking during cold outreach whether sponsorship is available.
Can my employer file an EB-2 NIW petition for a brand design role without going through PERM?
A National Interest Waiver, or NIW, waives the PERM requirement but requires demonstrating that your work benefits the United States in a way that justifies bypassing standard labor certification. Senior brand design roles rarely meet the NIW threshold on their own. This pathway works best for candidates whose design work has a documented national impact, such as large-scale public health campaigns or government communications programs.
