Green Card Service Delivery Specialist Jobs
Service Delivery Specialist roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship when the position requires coordinating complex service operations and the employer files a PERM labor certification with DOL. Employers in IT services, managed services, and enterprise operations regularly sponsor candidates through this pathway, leading to permanent U.S. residency rather than a renewable work visa.

Match your credentials to the PERM job requirements
Your degree and work history must align precisely with what the employer advertises in the PERM posting. A mismatch between your credentials and the posted minimum requirements is one of the most common reasons audits stall for service delivery roles.
Target employers with active PERM filing histories
IT services firms, managed service providers, and enterprise outsourcing companies file PERM applications for Service Delivery Specialists regularly. Search OFLC's public disclosure data to verify which employers have certified labor applications in this job category before applying.
Ask about EB-2 versus EB-3 classification early
If your role requires a bachelor's degree plus five or more years of progressive service delivery experience, push your employer's attorney to evaluate EB-2 eligibility. EB-2 priority dates are often current for more countries than EB-3, which can shorten your wait significantly.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring employers
Sorting job listings by sponsorship history saves months of outreach to employers who won't file. Migrate Mate surfaces Service Delivery Specialist roles at companies with documented green card filing activity, so your applications go to employers already familiar with the PERM process.
Confirm the employer's recruitment process documentation
PERM requires the employer to conduct and document a good-faith recruitment effort before DOL certifies the application. Ask your prospective employer whether they've run PERM for similar roles before, since inexperienced employers sometimes let documentation gaps trigger a PERM audit.
Protect your priority date if you change employers
Once USCIS approves your I-140, your priority date is locked in even if you leave that employer. If a new employer is willing to file a fresh I-140 but not wait for recapture, you can lose years of queue position, so negotiate I-140 portability before accepting a competing offer.
Green Card Service Delivery Specialist: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Service Delivery Specialist roles typically qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Service Delivery Specialist positions are classified under EB-3, which covers skilled workers and professionals with a bachelor's degree. If your specific role requires an advanced degree or the employer can demonstrate the position normally requires a master's, EB-2 may apply. The determining factor is how the employer drafts the PERM job description, not your personal credentials alone.
How is green card sponsorship different from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B visa is a temporary status requiring renewal every three years, and it's subject to an annual lottery. Green card sponsorship through PERM and I-140 leads to permanent residency with no renewal cycle once approved. There is no cap on the number of PERM applications an employer can file, so your case doesn't depend on lottery luck. The tradeoff is that the full process typically runs two to four years or longer depending on your birth country's priority date.
What does the PERM labor certification process involve for this job title?
Your employer files a PERM application with DOL certifying that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role at the prevailing wage. DOL requires the employer to run a recruitment campaign, document the results, and demonstrate the offered wage meets or exceeds the level set by the OFLC Wage Search tool. Analyst review at DOL can take several months, and an audit can add considerably more time.
How can I find Service Delivery Specialist jobs that include green card sponsorship?
Standard job listings rarely specify PERM sponsorship upfront. Migrate Mate filters roles by employers with verified green card filing histories, which lets you focus your applications on companies already running PERM for similar positions. Targeting employers with prior PERM certifications in your job category reduces the time you spend educating hiring managers about the process from scratch.
Can I change employers after my PERM is filed but before I get my green card?
You can change employers after your I-140 is approved and your green card application has been pending for 180 days or more, provided the new role is in the same or similar occupational classification. This portability protection comes from AC21. Your priority date from the original I-140 carries over to the new employer's petition, preserving your place in the queue.
