H-1B Visa Digital Marketing Jobs
Digital marketing roles in SEO, paid media, marketing analytics, and demand generation regularly qualify as H-1B specialty occupations when the position requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Employers across tech, e-commerce, and media actively file LCAs for these roles, making digital marketing one of the more accessible paths to H-1B sponsorship.

Your opportunity
The Marketing Experience Team (MXT) sets the experience standards, patterns, and guidance that enable teams across the company to deliver consistent, high-quality client experiences at scale.
As the Digital Marketing Experience Lead, you will own and evolve marketing experience standards across channels (web, email, mobile app, and social). You’ll operate as a strategic advisor—translating complex UX, content, and technology concepts into clear best practices that accelerate delivery and improve consistency across experiences. This is a senior, highly cross-functional role focused on influence, enablement, and adoption (not day-to-day channel execution).
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve marketing experience standards across digital channels (web, email, mobile app, social).
- Act as a strategic advisor and consultant to web, email, and digital marketing teams—guiding decisions toward consistent, client-centered experiences.
- Translate complex UX, content, and technology topics into clear standards, patterns, and best practices that teams can quickly.
- Partner cross-functionally to enable faster, more scalable experience delivery through reusable guidance and frameworks.
- Influence adoption of standards through enablement, communication, and stakeholder alignment (success measured by consistency and uptake, not direct execution).
About the Marketing Experience Team (MXT)
- Defines and unifies digital experience standards across channels to ensure consistency in look, feel, UX, and design practices.
- Sets channel requirements and guidance spanning web, email, mobile app, and social.
- Builds scalable assets—design systems, templates, modules, and reusable components—plus tooling and frameworks used by marketing teams at scale.
- Supports a large footprint including ~28 websites and high-volume email programs across the organization.
What you have
- 10+ years of relevant experience spanning UX design, interaction design, content strategy, and/or digital marketing experience roles.
- Demonstrated experience influencing experiences across multiple channels (email, web, mobile app).
- Strong expertise in content strategy and structure, information architecture, and taxonomy.
- Experience leveraging and advancing design systems; proficiency with Figma.
- Comfortable operating as a technology-savvy strategist—you understand (conceptually) how front-end/back-end systems, authoring tools, and MarTech platforms work (coding not required).
- Ability to communicate clearly and build alignment across functions through guidance, standards, and enablement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating standards, templates, or reusable components that enable other teams to deliver at scale.
- Familiarity with AI capabilities and practical applications that support client-facing experiences, workflow acceleration, and content discovery.
- Experience partnering with vendor teams and/or working in large, matrixed enterprises.

Frame your degree as field-specific
Digital marketing H-1B petitions succeed when your degree directly corresponds to the role. A marketing, communications, or advertising degree strengthens the specialty occupation argument. A general business degree can work, but your employer will need to document why the role requires that specific field.
Search LCA data by occupation code
Use the OFLC Wage Search to filter Labor Condition Applications by the SOC code for your target role, such as 11-2021 for marketing managers. This shows which employers have already certified LCAs for digital marketing positions, narrowing your search to proven sponsors.
Target employers with existing marketing H-1B history
Use Migrate Mate to filter companies by verified H-1B filing history in digital marketing roles. Employers who have sponsored before understand the process, reducing the risk that a strong offer falls apart over sponsorship concerns.
Clarify job duties before the LCA is filed
USCIS scrutinizes digital marketing petitions where duties mix strategic and tactical tasks. Before your employer files the LCA with DOL, confirm the job description emphasizes degree-level responsibilities like campaign strategy, analytics interpretation, or budget management, not execution-only tasks.
Check the prevailing wage level tied to your duties
DOL assigns prevailing wage levels based on complexity of duties, not job title. A digital marketing analyst role with data modeling responsibilities may land at a higher wage level than the same title at a company focused on social posting. Verify the wage level in the OFLC Wage Search before accepting an offer.
File during the cap window with documentation ready
H-1B cap registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Have your degree transcripts, credential evaluation if needed, and a detailed job description ready before your employer files Form I-129. Late or incomplete documentation is the most common reason for Requests for Evidence in marketing petitions.

Find Digital Marketing JobsDigital Marketing H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a digital marketing role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
It depends on how the position is defined. Digital marketing roles qualify when they require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as marketing, communications, or data analytics, and the duties involve degree-level judgment, not just execution. Roles focused on strategy, performance analysis, or marketing technology tend to qualify more cleanly than generalist or coordinator-level positions. USCIS evaluates each petition on its own facts.
Which digital marketing job titles are most commonly sponsored for H-1B visas?
Marketing managers, SEO specialists, digital marketing analysts, paid media strategists, and marketing operations roles appear frequently in H-1B LCA filings. Titles that combine analytical and strategic responsibilities, such as growth marketing manager or marketing data analyst, are more defensible as specialty occupations than titles suggesting administrative or support work. You can verify which titles have active LCA filings using the OFLC Wage Search.
How do I find digital marketing employers who sponsor H-1B visas?
Migrate Mate filters companies by verified H-1B filing history in digital marketing roles, so you can focus your applications on employers who have already gone through the sponsorship process. E-commerce companies, SaaS platforms, media agencies, and large tech firms tend to sponsor most consistently. Searching by DOL LCA data, rather than job postings alone, gives you a clearer picture of actual sponsorship behavior.
What happens to my H-1B if my digital marketing job role changes significantly?
A material change in job duties, location, or employer requires an amended H-1B petition filed with USCIS before the change takes effect. For digital marketing professionals, this is relevant when a role shifts from a specialty occupation, such as SEO strategy, to a generalist marketing function. Your employer files the amendment, and you can continue working during adjudication if the petition is filed on time.
Can a digital marketing agency sponsor H-1B visas, or only in-house corporate roles?
Agencies can sponsor H-1B visas, but USCIS may scrutinize petitions where employees work at client sites rather than the sponsoring employer's location. If your agency role places you on-site at a client's office, your employer needs to document that it controls your work, sets your schedule, and directs your duties. In-house marketing roles at a single employer carry less risk of an employer-employee relationship challenge.
