H-1B Visa Enterprise Sales Manager Jobs
Enterprise Sales Manager roles qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Most sponsoring employers are mid-to-large technology, SaaS, and professional services firms that file LCAs under SOC code 11-2022. The 85,000-slot annual cap and April lottery window mean timing your job search matters.

Verify your degree aligns with the role
Enterprise Sales Manager positions are approved as specialty occupations when your degree is in business, marketing, or a closely related field. A degree in an unrelated discipline increases your RFE risk, so confirm the match before applying.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter Enterprise Sales Manager roles by employers who have filed LCAs for this occupation code. Employers with active H-1B filing history are far more likely to move quickly through sponsorship than those exploring it for the first time.
Check the prevailing wage before negotiating
Your employer's LCA must certify a wage at or above the DOL prevailing wage for your location and SOC code. Run the OFLC Wage Search for SOC 11-2022 in your target metro before you enter salary discussions so you understand the floor.
Ask about cap-exempt entities during outreach
Universities, nonprofit research organizations, and government research institutions are cap-exempt, meaning your H-1B petition bypasses the lottery entirely. Enterprise sales roles exist at these employers, and filing outside the April window is a real structural advantage.
Time your application around the lottery window
USCIS opens H-1B registration each March for the following October 1 start date. If you're mid-job search in summer or fall, factor in that a cap-subject employer can't start your H-1B until the next fiscal year without premium processing already in place.
Document quota-carrying enterprise deals for your petition
USCIS scrutinizes sales roles more than technical ones. Build a portfolio of evidence showing your work requires specialized business knowledge: quota attainment records, named account strategies, and any cross-functional deal leadership that demonstrates specialty occupation standards.
H-1B Visa Enterprise Sales Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Enterprise Sales Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, provided the employer can document that the position normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. Generic sales roles without that degree requirement are more vulnerable to RFEs. Roles involving enterprise accounts, complex solution selling, or strategic account management are stronger candidates because they demonstrate the specialized knowledge USCIS expects.
Which types of employers most commonly sponsor H-1B visas for Enterprise Sales Managers?
Technology companies, SaaS platforms, enterprise software vendors, and professional services firms represent the highest concentration of H-1B sponsors for this role. These employers have established immigration processes and recurring LCA filings under SOC code 11-2022. You can browse employers with verified H-1B filing history for Enterprise Sales Manager roles directly on Migrate Mate, which surfaces DOL LCA data by occupation and employer.
How does the H-1B lottery affect my timeline as an Enterprise Sales Manager candidate?
Cap-subject petitions are subject to USCIS's annual lottery, with registration opening each March and approved petitions taking effect October 1. If you receive a job offer in June, your employer can file but your employment won't begin until October unless they're cap-exempt. Build this timeline into your negotiations, especially if you're transitioning from OPT or another visa status with an expiring authorization date.
Can my employer file for H-1B sponsorship before I have a permanent office location assigned?
Yes. Employers can file with a primary worksite on the LCA and add worksites later through amended filings or short-term placement rules. For Enterprise Sales Managers who work across multiple client sites or remotely, the employer must ensure LCA posting requirements are met at each location where you'll work for more than 30 consecutive days, per DOL regulations.
What happens to my H-1B status if I change employers or get promoted to a different sales leadership title?
A move to a new employer requires a full new H-1B petition, though H-1B portability under AC21 lets you start working for the new employer once the petition is filed, as long as your prior H-1B was approved and you've been in valid status. A promotion within the same company that changes your SOC code or materially changes your job duties typically requires an amended H-1B petition before the change takes effect.
