Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship as an Enterprise Sales Specialist
Verify your role meets specialty occupation
Pull the O*NET profile for Enterprise Sales Specialist and confirm your job duties require a specific bachelor's degree, not just any degree. A generic 'degree preferred' job description can trigger an RFE at the USCIS petition stage.
Check employer LCA filing history first
Use Migrate Mate to filter Enterprise Sales Specialist roles by verified DOL Labor Condition Application filings. This tells you which employers have already cleared the prevailing wage certification step, not just which ones claim to sponsor.
Benchmark wages using OFLC Wage Search
Look up the Level I through Level IV prevailing wages for your SOC code and metro area before negotiating your offer. Your offered salary must meet or exceed the DOL wage level your employer selects on the LCA.
Target E-Verify enrolled employers early
If your F-1 OPT expires before October 1 and you need cap-gap protection, your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify. Confirm enrollment status during the offer stage, not after you've accepted.
Document your degree-to-role connection clearly
Enterprise sales roles draw RFEs because the degree-to-occupation link isn't always obvious to USCIS officers. Prepare a written explanation showing how your business, marketing, or technical degree directly applies to the enterprise sales function you'll perform.
File premium processing if your start date is fixed
Enterprise sales roles often have quota-driven start dates tied to fiscal year planning. USCIS premium processing guarantees a 15-business-day adjudication decision, which protects you if your employer's onboarding timeline is inflexible.
H-1B Visa Enterprise Sales Specialist: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Enterprise Sales Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
It can, but the employer must demonstrate the role normally requires a specific bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration, marketing, or information technology. Roles framed as general sales with no degree requirement attached to core duties are more likely to receive a USCIS Request for Evidence. A detailed job description tying your degree field to the technical or analytical aspects of enterprise sales strengthens the petition.
Which industries sponsor H-1B visas most consistently for Enterprise Sales Specialists?
SaaS, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise software companies file LCAs for this occupation most regularly because their products require technical knowledge that connects clearly to a degree requirement. You can search verified H-1B sponsoring employers for this role on Migrate Mate, which filters listings by DOL LCA filing data rather than self-reported sponsorship claims.
How does prevailing wage work for an Enterprise Sales Specialist on H-1B?
Your employer must pay you at least the DOL prevailing wage for the Enterprise Sales Specialist SOC code in your specific metro area. The wage level, from Level I through Level IV, reflects your experience and complexity of duties. Employers certify this on the LCA before filing the H-1B petition with USCIS. You can look up the applicable wage floor using the OFLC Wage Search tool.
Can I switch to a different enterprise sales employer while on H-1B?
Yes. Under H-1B portability rules codified in AC21, you can start working for a new employer as soon as they file an H-1B transfer petition on your behalf, provided your current H-1B has been approved and you've maintained valid status. You don't need to wait for the transfer to be approved before switching, but the new employer's LCA must be certified and their petition filed before your last day with the previous employer.
What documentation should I prepare to support my H-1B petition as an Enterprise Sales Specialist?
You'll need your academic transcripts and diploma showing a relevant degree, a detailed offer letter specifying the specialty occupation duties, and your employer's explanation of why the role requires that specific degree. If your degree is in a field adjacent to enterprise sales, such as engineering or computer science for a technical sales role, prepare a credential evaluation and a written analysis connecting your coursework to the job functions USCIS will scrutinize.
