H-1B Visa Junior Analyst Jobs
Junior Analyst roles qualify for H-1B sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, economics, finance, statistics, or a quantitative discipline. Many entry-level analysts at consulting firms, financial institutions, and tech companies have active LCA filing histories, making this one of the more accessible H-1B pathways for recent graduates.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship as a Junior Analyst
Match your degree to the role
USCIS requires your degree field to directly relate to the Junior Analyst position, not just any bachelor's degree. A finance or statistics degree supports a financial analyst role; a general business degree may trigger an RFE.
Look up employer LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter Junior Analyst roles by verified DOL Labor Condition Application filings. This tells you which employers have sponsored the exact occupation before, not just which ones claim to sponsor.
Check prevailing wage before negotiating
Run the OFLC Wage Search for your target SOC code and work location before you receive an offer. Your employer's LCA must certify wages at or above the prevailing wage, so knowing Level I and Level II rates protects you from underpayment.
Document your specialty occupation with the O*NET profile
Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your specific analyst role and verify that it lists a bachelor's degree as the typical entry requirement. Employers often include this in the I-129 support letter to establish specialty occupation standing.

Find Junior Analyst JobsJunior Analyst H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Junior Analyst role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
It depends on how the position is defined. USCIS requires the role to normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. A Junior Analyst role that requires a degree in finance, economics, or statistics generally qualifies. A role where any bachelor's degree is accepted regardless of field is more likely to face an RFE challenging specialty occupation status.
How do I find employers who have actually sponsored H-1B visas for Junior Analyst roles?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified DOL LCA filing history, so you can see which employers have filed for Junior Analyst or closely related analyst occupations specifically. This is more reliable than asking recruiters, because LCA filings are public record and reflect what an employer has actually done, not what they say they're open to.
Can I start a Junior Analyst job before my H-1B is approved?
If you're on OPT or a cap-gap extension, you can work while your H-1B petition is pending, provided your EAD is still valid and your employer filed before your OPT expired. If you're not on an active work authorization, you must wait for USCIS to approve the petition before starting. Check your I-94 expiration and OPT end date carefully before any start date negotiation.
What happens to my H-1B if I'm laid off from my Junior Analyst position?
You have a 60-day grace period after your employment ends to find a new employer willing to file an H-1B transfer, change your status, or depart the country. During this window you can't work, but you can negotiate offers and have a new petition filed on your behalf. Acting quickly is essential since the 60-day clock starts on your last day of employment.
What SOC code typically applies to Junior Analyst roles for LCA purposes?
It varies by focus area. Financial analysts typically fall under SOC 13-2051, management analysts under SOC 13-1111, and operations research analysts under SOC 15-2031. The employer selects the code when filing the LCA with DOL, and it determines the prevailing wage level. You can verify which code your role falls under by checking the O*NET profile for your specific job duties before the offer stage.
