- Oversee the creation of compelling collateral (e.g., incentive guides, playbooks) that clearly articulate the business value of AI transformation to customers and partners
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a high-level thought partner to GTM and Sales leadership, delivering strategic insights and shaping next-generation partner initiatives in evolving markets
- Lead the annual planning process, crafting a compelling narrative on how AI-led partner investments drive sustainable growth

Verify your degree supports specialty occupation
Partner Program Manager roles must qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B rules. A degree in business, marketing, or a related field directly tied to the role strengthens your petition. Pull the O*NET profile for this occupation to confirm typical education requirements before applying.
Target companies with LCA filing history
Not every company that posts a Partner Program Manager role has filed H-1B petitions before. Use Migrate Mate to filter employers by verified DOL Labor Condition Application filings, so you're applying to companies with a real sponsorship track record.
Check prevailing wage before negotiating your offer
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your job title and location. Look up the applicable wage level using OFLC Wage Search before you negotiate, so your offered salary clears the legal floor and avoids an RFE later.
Ask employers about cap-exempt filing options
Some Partner Program Manager roles at nonprofits, universities, or government research affiliates qualify for cap-exempt H-1B filings, bypassing the annual lottery entirely. If you're open to those sectors, ask HR directly whether the organization has cap-exempt status under INA.
Document cross-functional scope in your offer letter
USCIS scrutinizes Partner Program Manager titles because the duties can read as generalist management. Your offer letter and job description should clearly articulate specialized responsibilities, such as partner ecosystem architecture, co-sell program design, or channel revenue strategy, to support specialty occupation classification.
Use your 60-day grace period strategically
If your current H-1B employer terminates your role, USCIS allows a 60-day grace period to secure a new sponsor. Start talking to prospective employers before that window opens, since the I-129 transfer filing needs to be in process before your grace period expires.

Find Partner Program Manager JobsPartner Program Manager H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Partner Program Manager role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
It can, but the title alone isn't enough. USCIS evaluates whether the role normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field like business, marketing, or a related discipline. If your job description emphasizes generalist management over specialized expertise, your employer should work with an immigration attorney to frame the duties clearly before filing the I-129.
Which industries most commonly sponsor H-1B visas for Partner Program Manager roles?
Technology, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software companies file the most H-1B LCAs for Partner Program Manager titles. These firms run formal partner ecosystems, VAR programs, and ISV relationships that require dedicated program management expertise. You can search employers with verified H-1B filing history for this role directly on Migrate Mate.
Can I transfer my H-1B to a new employer for a Partner Program Manager role?
Yes. Under H-1B portability rules, you can start working for a new employer as soon as the transfer petition is filed with USCIS, without waiting for approval, provided you're maintaining valid status. Make sure your new employer files the I-129 before your current authorization ends, and confirm the new role still qualifies as a specialty occupation.
How does the H-1B lottery affect my chances of getting sponsored for this role?
The annual H-1B lottery applies to cap-subject employers and selects from roughly 85,000 slots each fiscal year, with registration opening in March for an October 1 start date. If your sponsoring employer is a university, nonprofit research organization, or government entity, they may be cap-exempt and can file year-round outside the lottery process entirely.
What should I look for in an employer's LCA filing history before accepting an offer?
Look for consistent filings under job titles that match or closely align with Partner Program Manager, the wage levels offered relative to DOL prevailing wage benchmarks, and whether the employer has filed in your target metro area. A pattern of Level I or Level II wage filings can signal lower pay ceilings than your experience warrants. Review LCA data through OFLC before finalizing negotiations.
