Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and Software Asset Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement of software assets while ensuring cost optimization, compliance, and alignment with IT and business requirements. The role will partner closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and Vendor Management teams to drive effective software purchasing, contract governance, and lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing:
- Manage end-to-end procurement of software licenses, subscriptions, and SaaS solutions across the organization
- Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate pricing, and drive cost optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand software requirements and align procurement strategies
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, governance frameworks, and approval workflows
Contract & Vendor Management:
- Review and manage software contracts, including terms, conditions, and renewal clauses
- Partner with Legal and Vendor Management teams to mitigate contractual and compliance risks
- Track vendor performance and ensure SLA adherence
- Drive consolidation of vendors and licenses to optimize spend
License Management & Compliance:
- Work closely with Software Asset Management (SAM) teams to maintain accurate license inventory
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, audit readiness)
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate procurement and licensing documentation
- Identify risks related to over-licensing or under-licensing and drive corrective actions
