H-1B Visa Product Marketing Jobs
Product Marketing roles qualify for H-1B sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Employers file an LCA with the DOL before sponsoring, and the annual 85,000-slot cap means timing your job search around the April lottery registration window matters.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship in Product Marketing
Frame your degree as a direct match
USCIS evaluates whether your degree field directly relates to Product Marketing. A degree in business, marketing, or communications maps cleanly. If yours is in a different field, document how your coursework and roles align to the SOC occupation definition.
Use OFLC Wage Search before negotiations
Look up the prevailing wage for your target Product Marketing title and metro area before accepting an offer. Your employer's LCA must certify a wage at or above that level, so knowing the floor protects you and flags low offers early.
Target employers with dedicated HR sponsorship teams
Mid-to-large tech and SaaS companies with in-house immigration counsel file H-1B petitions faster and with fewer errors than smaller firms using outside counsel for the first time. Ask during interviews who handles their immigration filings internally.
Search Migrate Mate for verified LCA filing history
Filter your Product Marketing job search on Migrate Mate by employers who have filed LCAs for marketing roles. This shows active sponsorship history, not just stated willingness, so you spend your time on companies that actually follow through.
Get your offer letter before the March registration window
H-1B lottery registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Your employer needs to register you, which requires a finalized offer. Start your job search no later than January if you're targeting that fiscal year's cap.
Clarify who pays petition fees before signing
USCIS filing fees for H-1B petitions run into the thousands and are legally the employer's responsibility for most components. Confirm in writing that your offer letter or a side agreement specifies the employer covers mandatory government filing fees.

Find Product Marketing JobsProduct Marketing H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Product Marketing qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, Product Marketing qualifies as a specialty occupation when the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as marketing, business, or communications. USCIS evaluates the job description, not just the title. Roles that blend product strategy, go-to-market planning, and market research consistently meet the specialty occupation standard, but your employer's LCA and I-129 petition must document the degree requirement explicitly.
Which employers sponsor H-1B visas for Product Marketing roles?
Tech companies, SaaS platforms, enterprise software firms, and large consumer brands are the most active H-1B sponsors for Product Marketing positions. Employers with dedicated immigration teams and established H-1B programs process petitions more reliably than companies sponsoring for the first time. Migrate Mate shows verified LCA filing history by employer and role type, so you can identify companies that have actively sponsored Product Marketing positions rather than relying on unverified claims.
Can I switch Product Marketing jobs while on H-1B?
Yes, you can change employers under H-1B portability rules once your petition has been approved and you've accumulated at least 180 days of work authorization. Your new employer must file an H-1B transfer petition before your first day. For Product Marketing roles, the new LCA must reflect the prevailing wage for your title and location at the new company, which can differ significantly from your previous employer's rate.
How does a promotion or title change affect my H-1B status in Product Marketing?
A significant change in your job duties or title may constitute a material change requiring your employer to file an amended H-1B petition with USCIS. Moving from Product Marketing Manager to Director, or shifting from one product line to a substantially different one, can trigger this requirement. Your employer's immigration counsel should evaluate whether the change in responsibilities crosses the material change threshold before the new role begins.
What SOC code and O*NET classification applies to Product Marketing for H-1B purposes?
Product Marketing roles are typically classified under SOC code 11-2021 for Marketing Managers or 13-1161 for Market Research Analysts, depending on the specific duties. The O*NET profiles for these occupations list the degree requirements and typical tasks USCIS references when evaluating specialty occupation status. Your employer's attorney should match your actual job description to the correct SOC code before filing the LCA, since the code affects prevailing wage levels and petition framing.
