Summary
MRO Purchasing Specialist role will provide support to the Maintenance and other Chobani teams to source and procure MRO tools, parts and services.
Responsibilities
- The Work directly with OEM suppliers and distributors to source items as needed
- Obtain quotes and research purchasing options to obtain the best cost, quality and value
- Manage and maintain vendor relationships, and evaluate suppliers
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Parts teams to meet operational needs
- Prepare Purchase Order requisitions and ensure order confirmations are received
- Source and procure emergency parts as needed
- Maintain accurate ETA dates in SAP system
- Develop and recommend standard methodologies for the parts flow process and procedures
- Develop and implement processes with suppliers to improve processes and reduce parts overages/shortages
- Maintain electronic files for all orders and packing slips
- Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues
- Resolve supplier packing slip discrepancies
- Coordinate procurement processes to ensure accurate inventory transactions
- Provide information and communication to Technicians regarding parts and part ordering processes
- Analyze inventory and MRO spend
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
- High school degree or GED required, college degree preferred
- Preferred experience with SAP
- Minimum 2 years of inventory or purchasing experience
- Ability to establish and maintain priorities in order to complete assignments by target dates without detailed instructions
- Average proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills with positive, customer-orientation combined with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

The salary range for this full-time position is $24.25 - $30.75, + bonus + equity + benefits.
