Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship as a Regional Marketing Manager
Frame your portfolio around measurable regional impact
USCIS officers evaluate specialty occupation eligibility partly through job duties. Document campaigns by geographic market, budget owned, and revenue influenced. Quantified regional outcomes strengthen both your petition narrative and your offer negotiations.
Check the LCA before accepting any offer
Before signing, ask your employer to share the certified LCA. Confirm the wage level matches your actual role scope. Level I wages are sometimes filed for manager-level duties, which can complicate your case and underpay you.
Target employers with multi-state or franchise structures
Companies operating across multiple regions consistently need dedicated Regional Marketing Managers and have established HR processes for H-1B filing. Franchise networks, national retailers, and regional health systems are reliable sponsorship candidates worth prioritizing in your search.
Search H-1B filing history on Migrate Mate
Filter by Regional Marketing Manager roles to see which employers have active DOL Labor Condition Application filings for this title. That history tells you who already knows how to sponsor, saving you from first-time-sponsor delays mid-offer.
Verify your degree field aligns with the SOC code
Regional Marketing Managers typically fall under SOC 11-2021. Pull the O*NET profile for that code and confirm your degree matches the listed education requirements. A mismatch between your credential and the occupation definition is a common RFE trigger.
Plan around the 60-day grace period if changing jobs
If you're moving from one employer to another, your H-1B transfer petition should be filed before your last day to maintain status continuity. The 60-day grace period starts at termination, not at your new start date, so timing the filing matters.
H-1B Visa Regional Marketing Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Regional Marketing Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as marketing, business administration, or communications. If the employer's job description accepts any bachelor's degree regardless of field, USCIS may issue an RFE questioning specialty occupation status. A well-drafted job duties description tied to a specific degree field strengthens the petition.
How do I find employers who have already sponsored H-1B visas for Regional Marketing Manager roles?
Migrate Mate surfaces employer LCA filing history by job title, so you can see which companies have certified wages for Regional Marketing Manager positions. This filters out employers who have never sponsored before and helps you focus on companies with an established H-1B process, reducing the risk of delays or withdrawals after you receive an offer.
What wage level should I expect on the LCA for a Regional Marketing Manager position?
Prevailing wage levels run from Level I through Level IV based on experience and supervisory responsibility. A Regional Marketing Manager with team oversight and multi-market budget authority typically warrants a Level II or Level III wage under DOL standards. You can verify the expected wage for your metro area using the OFLC Wage Search before entering salary negotiations.
Can I switch Regional Marketing Manager employers after my H-1B is approved?
Yes, through H-1B portability under AC21. Your new employer must file a transfer petition before your current status expires. Because Regional Marketing Manager roles are specialty occupations, the new petition follows the same LCA and specialty occupation documentation process as your original filing. You can start working for the new employer once the transfer petition is received by USCIS.
Does a Regional Marketing Manager role at a cap-exempt employer avoid the H-1B lottery?
Cap-exempt employers include qualifying universities, nonprofit research organizations, and government research institutions. Regional Marketing Manager roles at those entities are exempt from the annual 85,000-cap lottery. Most corporate employers are cap-subject, meaning your petition enters the lottery in April for an October start. Confirming an employer's cap-exempt status early in your job search changes your entire application timeline.
