H-1B Visa Sales Lead Jobs
Sales Lead roles qualify for H-1B sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Employers file a Labor Condition Application certifying prevailing wage compliance before petitioning USCIS. The annual cap means timing your offer around the April lottery window is critical for most Sales Lead candidates.

We believe great work requires great people — people who say "I’ll find a way" instead of "it can’t be done."
The Role
VideoAmp's Revenue team is seeking a Sales Lead to own our WPP portfolio — someone who is collaborative, motivated, and ready to be part of something significant. You are passionate about solving customer challenges and bring extensive knowledge of the tech, data, TV, and digital video landscape.
You have a proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue goals, building senior-level relationships, and tackling strategic client objectives with confidence and accountability. This is a high-ownership role for someone who sees their contribution clearly and knows how to make it count.
You will collaborate closely with VideoAmp's leadership, product, data science, marketing science, and client success teams to craft compelling narratives, solve client challenges, and deliver measurable outcomes across one of the most important holding company portfolios in the industry.
- Own and exceed revenue goals and sales activity KPIs across the WPP portfolio.
- Accelerate demand for VideoAmp solutions among a large portfolio of holding company agencies and their advertisers.
- Champion the VideoAmp brand — pitch confidently in market while continuously deepening your knowledge of our most advanced product offerings.
- Demonstrate authorship, agency, and full accountability across your book of business.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, including contract negotiations.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with agency and brand clients, understanding their needs and proactively delivering solutions aligned to their goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with strategy & pricing, revenue operations, client success, product, marketing, and engineering to ensure seamless client outcomes.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and holding company dynamics — and bring those insights back to the organization.
- Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships, generate leads, and represent VideoAmp at the highest level.
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of sales experience in data, TV, and/or digital video, with direct experience and existing relationships at WPP.
- Agency experience strongly preferred; proven track record of working with both brands and agencies on complex product offerings.
- History of solid sales achievement and experience structuring and closing large, multi-layered enterprise deals.
- Deep product knowledge and technical fluency across data strategy, analytics, measurement, and ad operations.
- Expertise with external sales tools including Media Radar, eMarketer, Kantar, Seller Crowd, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Clear understanding of and experience navigating 6–12 month sales cycles within a holding company environment.
- Ability to operate with independent discretion and lead with confidence across a matrixed client organization.
- Genuine desire to upskill rapidly across product, data science, and marketing science disciplines.
- Collaborative, accountable, and highly motivated — leads through performance and relationship-building, not hierarchy.
How We Sell
- Never take off your client's shoes. Intimately know how every prospective and current client operates. Step into their lexicon and always frame what we do by solving their specific problem. Be solutions focused.
- Be your client's favorite. Adding value through our solutions is table stakes. Beyond that, build deep, personal, and authentic relationships with our clients.
- Get ahead of the questions you know might be asked. Come to client meetings prepared. If you're not sure of an answer, seek it out and get back to them in a timely manner.
How We Operate
- Do everything you'll do. You are dependable and meet expectations. If you're about to miss a deadline, you communicate proactively — no matter how large or small the commitment.
- Proactively help the organization. You are self-organized, set agendas, and come with ideas. If you see a problem or opportunity, you go fix it or capture it. You don't wait to be assigned resources.
- Measure and optimize what matters. You focus on the metrics that drive performance and are excited about VideoAmp's mission because you get to do what you love for an entire industry.

Align your degree to specialty occupation
Sales Lead roles must qualify as a specialty occupation under H-1B rules. Pull the O*NET profile for your specific sales title to confirm the typical education requirement, then verify your degree field directly matches the role description your employer will submit.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sales Lead openings by employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for sales roles. LCA history signals an employer understands the H-1B process and has cleared the DOL prevailing-wage step before.
Request a prevailing wage determination early
Ask your prospective employer to run the OFLC Wage Search for your exact job title and work location before negotiations finalize. The prevailing wage locks your minimum salary into the LCA and cannot be adjusted downward after DOL certification.
Negotiate an April 1 start date in your offer
Cap-subject H-1B petitions have an October 1 earliest start date. If your offer letter lists an earlier date, USCIS will still cap your employment at October 1, so build that gap into your financial planning and negotiate accordingly with the hiring manager.
Document commission structure for RFE defense
Sales Lead offers often include variable commission. If USCIS issues a Request for Evidence questioning whether the role is a true specialty occupation, a detailed offer letter separating base salary from commission and tying the base to the prevailing wage strengthens the petition significantly.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting
H-1B employers must use E-Verify to confirm your work authorization on day one. Before signing an offer, ask HR directly whether the company is enrolled. An unenrolled employer cannot legally employ you under H-1B status and will create compliance problems at onboarding.

Find Sales Lead JobsSales Lead H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Sales Lead role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
It depends on how the employer defines the position. USCIS requires that the role normally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. A Sales Lead focused on enterprise software, financial products, or technical solutions with a defined degree requirement in business, marketing, or a related field is more defensible than a general retail sales lead title, which typically does not qualify.
How do I find Sales Lead employers who actively sponsor H-1B visas?
Search on Migrate Mate, which filters Sales Lead openings by employers with verified H-1B Labor Condition Application filing history. This tells you an employer has already navigated the DOL prevailing-wage process for similar roles, which reduces the risk of an employer backing out after an offer because they're unfamiliar with the sponsorship requirements.
Can my commission income count toward the H-1B prevailing wage requirement?
No. USCIS and DOL require that your guaranteed base salary meet or exceed the prevailing wage for your role and location as determined by the OFLC Wage Search. Commission, bonuses, and variable pay are excluded from the calculation. If the base salary alone falls below the prevailing wage, the LCA cannot be certified and the H-1B petition cannot proceed.
What happens to my H-1B status if I get promoted from Sales Lead to Sales Manager?
A material change in job duties, title, or work location typically requires an amended H-1B petition filed with USCIS before the change takes effect. Your employer must file a new LCA reflecting the updated role and prevailing wage for the manager position. Working in the new role before the amendment is approved creates an unauthorized employment problem that can affect future visa applications.
How long does the H-1B process take for a Sales Lead position once I have an offer?
DOL certifies LCAs within seven business days in most cases. USCIS standard processing for the I-129 petition currently runs several months, though premium processing gets a decision within 15 business days for an additional fee. Factor in the October 1 cap start date if you're in the lottery, which means even a March offer won't result in authorized employment until fall.
