Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as an Enterprise Account Manager
Translate your credentials into specialty occupation evidence
Enterprise Account Manager roles qualify as specialty occupations only when tied to a specific field like business administration, marketing, or IT. Pull your Chilean university transcripts and get a credential evaluation confirming equivalency to a U.S. bachelor's degree before targeting employers.
Filter employers by active LCA filing history
Not every company advertising account manager roles has filed a Labor Condition Application for H-1B1 Chile workers. Use Migrate Mate to identify employers with verified DOL filing history for this occupation, so you target companies already set up to sponsor your visa.
Benchmark your salary against prevailing wage levels
Your offer must meet the DOL prevailing wage for the specific location and job title. Run the OFLC Wage Search for SOC code 11-2022 before entering salary negotiations so you know the floor your employer must legally meet.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the second interview
Many enterprise sales hiring managers assume H-1B1 visa Chile works like H-1B visa, including the lottery. Explain directly that H-1B1 Chile skips the lottery, processes at the consulate in Santiago, and that the employer files no USCIS petition, which removes the biggest friction point they fear.
Use O*NET to frame your role as a specialty occupation
Review the O*NET profile for Sales Managers and Enterprise Account Managers to identify the degree requirements and knowledge domains listed. Quote these directly in your cover letter and visa application to support the specialty occupation classification your employer must certify.
Time your offer acceptance around the LCA certification window
The LCA must be certified by DOL before your consulate appointment can proceed. DOL typically certifies within seven business days, but your start date needs to account for scheduling the Santiago consulate appointment after certification clears.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Enterprise Account Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the H-1B1 Chile visa?
Yes, provided the employer requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, finance, or a related discipline. Generic sales roles where any degree is acceptable may not qualify. The job description must establish that specialized knowledge is a genuine requirement of the position, not just a preferred credential.
How does the H-1B1 Chile visa compare to the H-1B for Enterprise Account Manager roles?
The H-1B1 Chile visa has no lottery, no USCIS petition, and an annual cap of 1,400 that rarely fills, making it far more predictable for both you and your employer. The H-1B requires employer sponsorship through USCIS and entry in the annual lottery. The trade-off is that H-1B1 Chile is nonimmigrant only and doesn't directly lead to a green card, while H-1B can support permanent residence.
How do I find Enterprise Account Manager employers who will sponsor an H-1B1 Chile visa?
Search Migrate Mate to identify employers with active DOL Labor Condition Application filing history for account manager and sales roles. Companies that have filed LCAs for similar positions already understand the sponsorship process and are more likely to extend offers to H-1B1 Chile applicants without requiring internal legal education on the visa category.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my H-1B1 Chile visa application?
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your consulate appointment. They also provide a formal offer letter specifying your title, duties, salary, and start date, along with documentation establishing that the role requires a specialized degree. You bring these documents to your appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago along with your DS-160 and supporting credentials.
Can I switch employers after starting work on an H-1B1 Chile visa in an Enterprise Account Manager role?
Yes, but the process restarts. Your new employer must file and receive a certified LCA, issue a qualifying offer letter, and you must attend a new consulate appointment or apply for a change of status. There's no H-1B-style portability that lets you begin work with a new employer immediately upon filing. Plan for a gap between roles unless your status permits another authorization pathway.
