H-1B1 Chile Visa Sales Jobs
H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship lets Chilean professionals work in U.S. Sales roles without entering an H-1B lottery. The 1,400-visa annual cap rarely fills, and your application goes directly to the consulate, so you can move from offer letter to visa stamp faster than most work visa paths allow.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Sales Jobs
Verify your degree field matches Sales
H-1B1 visa requires a specialty occupation, so confirm your business, marketing, or economics degree directly supports the Sales role. A mismatch between your credential and the job description is the most common denial trigger at the consulate.
Pull your SOC code before applying
Look up your target Sales role on O*NET to confirm its job zone and degree requirements. Your employer's LCA must list the correct SOC code, and a mismatch between that code and your actual duties can stall certification at DOL.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sales roles by employers who have already filed Labor Condition Applications. Those companies understand H-1B1 Chile sponsorship mechanics and won't need convincing that the process is manageable.
Ask for LCA certification before your interview date
DOL must certify the LCA before you can apply at the consulate. Confirm your employer has started that filing as soon as you receive an offer, since a pending LCA will block your visa appointment from moving forward.
Align your offered salary to the prevailing wage tier
Run your Sales title and work location through the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating compensation. Your offer must meet at least the Level I prevailing wage for the role's SOC code, or DOL will reject the LCA outright.
Plan your renewal timeline from day one
H-1B1 Chile visas are issued in one-year increments with no limit on renewals, but each renewal requires a fresh LCA. Flag your expiration date with your employer at least 90 days out so the next filing doesn't create a gap in your work authorization.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Sales role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B1 Chile?
Yes, if the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business, marketing, economics, or a similar discipline. General Sales representative roles that accept any degree regardless of field typically don't qualify. The job description must make the degree requirement explicit, and your employer will confirm this on the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL.
How is the H-1B1 Chile visa different from H-1B for Sales professionals?
H-1B1 Chile has no lottery and a 1,400-visa annual cap that consistently goes unfilled, so a Chilean Sales professional with a qualifying offer can get a visa in weeks rather than waiting years for a lottery selection. The trade-off is that H-1B1 doesn't allow dual intent, meaning you can't use it as a stepping stone toward a green card the way H-1B holders sometimes do.
How do I find Sales employers who will sponsor an H-1B1 Chile visa?
Migrate Mate filters Sales job listings by employers with verified H-1B1 Chile Labor Condition Application filing history, so you can focus your applications on companies that have already worked through the sponsorship process. Targeting those employers significantly reduces the time you spend educating hiring managers about a visa category most U.S. HR teams haven't encountered before.
Can I switch Sales employers after receiving my H-1B1 Chile visa?
Yes, but the process restarts from scratch. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL, and you'll need to return to the consulate for a new visa stamp reflecting the updated employer and role. There's no portability rule equivalent to what H-1B holders receive under AC21, so plan for a gap between your last day and your new start date.
What documents does a Chilean Sales professional need for the H-1B1 consulate interview?
You'll need your certified LCA, a job offer letter specifying your title, duties, and compensation, your academic credentials showing a degree in a related field, and a completed DS-160. The consular officer will assess whether your Sales role meets the specialty occupation standard, so bring documentation showing the degree is a genuine requirement for the position, not just a preference.
