H-1B1 Chile Visa Strategy Manager Jobs
Strategy Manager jobs with H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship are open to Chilean nationals without a lottery or USCIS petition. The 1,400-visa annual cap rarely fills, and your employer files the Labor Condition Application directly, so consulate processing is typically faster than H-1B visa timelines for qualified management professionals.

Verify your degree meets specialty occupation
H-1B1 visa requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. A business, economics, or management degree supports a Strategy Manager role, but a degree in an unrelated discipline may require documented equivalency before your employer can file the LCA.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Use the OFLC Wage Search to confirm which companies have filed Labor Condition Applications for management and strategy roles. Prior LCA activity signals the employer already understands H-1B1 Chile requirements and won't need to be educated on the process from scratch.
Search H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Strategy Manager roles by employers who have sponsored H-1B1 Chile visas, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the program. Start there before reaching out to employers directly.
Frame your LCA job duties around SOC codes
The DOL assigns prevailing wages using Standard Occupational Classification codes. Make sure your offer letter's job duties align with the SOC code your employer selects, since a mismatch between title, duties, and code can trigger a wage compliance issue.
Clarify dual intent limitations before accepting an offer
H-1B1 visa is a nonimmigrant visa with no dual intent protection, unlike H-1B. If you're considering a long-term path to a green card, discuss this with your employer before signing, since maintaining nonimmigrant intent is a requirement at each consular renewal.
Prepare your credential documents before the LCA stage
Gather your translated academic transcripts, Chilean cedula, and any professional certifications before your employer initiates the LCA. Missing documents at this stage delay the public notice posting period and push back your consulate appointment by weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Strategy Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B1 Chile?
Yes, Strategy Manager roles typically qualify because the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific related field such as business administration, economics, or finance. The key is that the employer's job description ties the duties directly to that degree field. Vague or generalist job descriptions that accept any bachelor's degree regardless of field can complicate the specialty occupation determination.
How does H-1B1 Chile differ from H-1B for Strategy Manager candidates?
H-1B requires an employer to file a USCIS petition and enter a lottery when demand exceeds 85,000 slots. H-1B1 Chile skips both steps entirely. Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL, and you apply directly at a U.S. consulate in Chile. The 1,400-visa annual cap for Chilean nationals has never been exhausted, so availability is not a practical constraint for most applicants.
Where can I find Strategy Manager jobs with H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point because it surfaces roles specifically filtered for employers with H-1B1 Chile sponsorship history, saving you from applying to companies that have no experience with the visa category. General job boards won't filter by visa type or LCA history, which means significant time spent on employers who aren't set up to sponsor H-1B1 Chile applicants.
Can my employer renew my H-1B1 Chile status while I'm already working in the U.S.?
H-1B1 visa is granted in one-year increments and has no statutory maximum on renewals, so you can keep renewing as long as you maintain the qualifying employment. Renewal is handled through a new consulate appointment in Chile rather than a USCIS extension petition. Plan the timing carefully since there's no automatic cap-gap protection if your appointment is delayed past your I-94 expiration date.
What prevailing wage level applies to Strategy Manager roles under H-1B1 Chile?
Your employer sets the wage level using the OFLC Wage Search, selecting the SOC code that best matches your actual job duties. Strategy and management roles often map to Level III or Level IV wages depending on the degree of independent authority and complexity in the position. You can cross-reference the occupational profile on O*NET to confirm the duties your employer lists align with the correct classification.
