Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as a Delivery Manager
Verify your degree maps to the role
H-1B1 Singapore requires a specialty occupation match between your degree and the Delivery Manager position. A degree in engineering, computer science, or business administration typically satisfies this. A general arts degree without relevant coursework rarely does, and the consular officer will assess the connection directly.
Search LCA filings for active sponsors
Employers file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before sponsoring any H-1B1 visa Singapore hire. Pull the OFLC Wage Search to see which companies have certified LCAs for project or delivery management roles. These employers already understand the sponsorship process and are actively hiring.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsors
Migrate Mate surfaces employers with confirmed H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history, filtered by role. Search for Delivery Manager positions to find companies that have already cleared the DOL certification step, so your outreach targets verified sponsors rather than employers guessing at the process.
Frame your PMO experience in U.S. terms
Delivery Manager responsibilities vary significantly between Singapore and U.S. organizations. Before interviews, map your scope, including team size, delivery methodology, and stakeholder structure, to what U.S. hiring managers expect. Misaligned role framing is a common reason offers stall before sponsorship paperwork begins.
Clarify LCA wage level with your employer early
DOL sets four prevailing wage levels for certified LCAs. Employers sometimes file at Level I or II for senior delivery roles to reduce wage obligations, which can create offer complications. Confirm your employer is filing at the level matching your actual seniority before you accept an offer.
Prepare for consular nonimmigrant intent scrutiny
Unlike H-1B visa, H-1B1 Singapore does not allow dual intent, meaning you can't have a pending immigrant visa application at the consulate appointment. If you're pursuing a green card alongside your job search, get clarity on timing before your H-1B1 Singapore visa interview to avoid a denial.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Delivery Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B1 Singapore?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as engineering, information systems, or business management. The consular officer evaluates the connection between your specific degree and the role's responsibilities. A Delivery Manager overseeing technical programs with an unrelated degree can face challenges, so your offer letter should clearly articulate the degree requirement.
How does the H-1B1 Singapore visa differ from H-1B for Delivery Manager roles?
H-1B1 Singapore skips the lottery entirely and goes directly to a consular interview rather than a USCIS petition filing. The 5,400 annual cap has never been fully used, so timing pressure is minimal. The key trade-off is that H-1B1 Singapore does not allow dual intent, while H-1B does, which matters if you eventually plan to pursue permanent residency.
How do I find employers who have sponsored H-1B1 Singapore visas for Delivery Manager positions?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by employers with verified H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history. This lets you focus outreach on companies that have already navigated the DOL certification process for delivery and program management roles, rather than approaching employers who are unfamiliar with the H-1B1 Singapore pathway and may hesitate when sponsorship comes up.
What documents does my employer need to prepare before my consular interview?
Your employer must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before your visa appointment. The LCA confirms the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role and location. You'll bring the certified LCA, your offer letter specifying the specialty occupation, and supporting evidence of your qualifying degree to the consulate. Your employer does not file a USCIS petition for H-1B1 Singapore.
Can I switch employers after I start working on H-1B1 Singapore?
You can change employers, but the new company must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll typically need a new H-1B1 Singapore visa stamp for the new employer before starting work. There's no H-1B-style portability rule for H-1B1 Singapore. Plan the transition carefully with your new employer to avoid a gap in authorized status, especially if you're between visa validity periods.
