Verify your role qualifies as specialty occupation
Enterprise Account Manager positions require a theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge. Pull the O*NET profile for your exact role and confirm the typical education requirement is a bachelor's degree in a specific field like business, marketing, or computer science before you apply.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search Migrate Mate to identify employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for Enterprise Account Manager or similar titles. Companies already familiar with the H-1B1 Singapore process move faster and rarely require internal legal approval cycles from scratch.
Request the LCA before your offer letter finalizes
Your employer files the LCA with DOL before your consulate appointment. Ask your recruiter explicitly whether the LCA can run concurrently with offer negotiation, not after. Delays here can push your start date by weeks.
Cross-reference your offered salary against OFLC Wage Search
Run your job title and work location through OFLC Wage Search to find the prevailing wage for your specific geographic area. Your offered salary must meet or exceed the wage level on the certified LCA, and discrepancies discovered late can stall the entire filing.
Prepare credentials that satisfy the specialty occupation test
Consolidate your NUS, NTU, or SMU transcripts and any relevant professional certifications before reaching the offer stage. U.S. consular officers assess whether your specific degree field directly relates to the account management role, so a business degree with a finance or technology concentration strengthens your case.
Use the 10-day post-validity grace period strategically
The H-1B1 visa includes a 10-day grace period after each authorized validity period ends. If you're transitioning between Enterprise Account Manager roles, your new employer's LCA must be filed and the process initiated before that window closes to maintain lawful status.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Enterprise Account Manager role qualify for the H-1B1 Singapore visa?
Yes, if the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or information technology. Generic sales roles that accept any degree regardless of field typically do not qualify. The employer must document in the Labor Condition Application that the role meets the specialty occupation definition, so the job description matters as much as your credentials.
How does the H-1B1 Singapore visa compare to the H-1B for Enterprise Account Manager jobs?
The H-1B visa1 Singapore has no lottery, no USCIS petition, and an annual cap of 5,400 that rarely comes close to filling. You apply directly at a U.S. consulate with a certified LCA from DOL, which is significantly faster than the H-1B petition process. The main trade-off is that the H-1B1 does not carry dual intent, so you cannot simultaneously pursue permanent residency on this status.
How do I find employers actively sponsoring H-1B1 Singapore visas for account management roles?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by employers with verified H-1B1 and LCA filing history, so you can identify companies that have sponsored Singaporean professionals in Enterprise Account Manager or adjacent roles before. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a company has never filed an H-1B1 LCA.
What documents do I need for an H-1B1 Singapore consulate appointment as an Enterprise Account Manager?
You'll need the certified LCA from DOL, your DS-160 confirmation, a valid Singaporean passport, your degree transcripts and certificates, and a support letter from your U.S. employer describing the role and its specialty occupation requirements. If your degree field is not an exact match for the account management role, a detailed employer letter explaining the connection between your education and the position is critical.
Can I switch Enterprise Account Manager employers while on H-1B1 Singapore status?
Yes, but the new employer must file and receive a certified LCA from DOL before you begin working for them. Unlike H-1B portability under AC21, there is no grace period that allows you to start with the new employer while the filing is pending. You have a 10-day grace period after your current validity period ends to initiate the transition, so planning ahead is essential.
