DESCRIPTION
About the Organization
Amazon Customer Service handles hundreds of millions of customer contacts each year across every Amazon business — retail, devices, digital products, business, and drivers. Our Associate Experience team owns the product strategy, tooling, and AI systems that define how Customer Service agents work: what information they can access, what actions they can take, and how effectively they resolve customer issues on first contact.
At the center of this is our associate-facing customer service platform — the primary interface through which agents across the globe handle customer contacts across chat, email, phone, and messaging channels. We are investing in rebuilding this platform for the AI era: moving from rigid, domain-specific workflows toward a flexible, intelligent experience where AI and human agents work side by side to deliver faster, more consistent, and higher-quality customer outcomes.
We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Product Management Tech to own the product strategy and execution for our associate platform across four high-volume, high-complexity contact domains.
This leader will define and deliver the agent-facing experience for these domains — reducing friction in how associates work, eliminating inconsistency in how issues are resolved, and building an AI-native UI that surfaces the right context, guidance, and resolution options to agents in real time. The north star is simple: every customer contact in these domains ends with a fast, consistent, on-brand resolution on first contact, demonstrating the very best of human and AI collaboration.
The current product does not exist in the form it needs to be. This leader will contribute to the overall platform vision, build the team around the key domains, set the roadmap, and drive execution — partnering closely with the customer-facing product teams that own the same domains on the customer self-service side, and with engineering, data science, and customer service operations.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for the associate platform across digital products, devices, subscriptions, and account contact types — from problem definition and strategy through requirements, development, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Build on an AI-native agent experience. Design and deliver resolutions embedded in an AI-led UI— surfacing relevant customer context and recommending resolution paths in real time— so that associates spend their time on attending to the customer, not managing the tool. Measure success through first contact resolution rates, handle time, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive workflow simplification. Eliminate the specialized tooling and routing dependencies that require associates to be trained on narrow issue types. Build upon the product model that enables associates to handle contacts across domains flexibly, without sacrificing resolution quality.
- Build the team. Hire and develop individual product managers for each domain, create clear ownership structures, establish product development processes, and build a high-performing PM team that operates ahead of engineering — not behind it.
- Partner cross-functionally. Work directly with the customer-facing product teams that own the consumer experience for these same domains to ensure agent tooling reflects and enables the customer experience being built. Partner with engineering, data and applied sciences, BI, UX, and customer service operations on roadmap sequencing, launch planning, and adoption.
- Deliver a key 2026 strategic initiative that supports a senior leadership commitment, requiring tight cross-functional coordination and on-time delivery.
- Represent your product portfolio in senior leadership reviews and planning cycles, authoring clear, data-backed product strategy documents and investment narratives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- 3+ years of team management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment
- Experience with AI/ML technologies

Verify your degree field matches the role
H-1B1 visa requires a degree directly related to product management, so a business, computer science, or engineering degree works. A general arts degree without relevant coursework can draw consular scrutiny, so gather your transcript and be ready to explain the connection.
Search employer LCA filings before applying
Use the OFLC Wage Search to confirm a company has filed Labor Condition Applications for product management roles. An employer with no LCA history for this occupation will face a steeper internal approval process, which can stall your offer unexpectedly.
Find H-1B1 sponsors faster on Migrate Mate
Filter by H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship on Migrate Mate to surface companies that have already filed for Singaporean nationals. This cuts out the guesswork of cold-applying to employers unfamiliar with the H-1B1 Singapore visa track.
Confirm the job description meets specialty occupation standards
Ask your prospective employer to review the role description against O*NET's product manager occupation profile. A posting that lists a degree as 'preferred' rather than 'required' can undermine the specialty occupation determination at the consulate.
Get the LCA certified before your visa appointment
Your employer must file and receive DOL certification of the LCA before you can apply at the consulate. DOL typically certifies within seven business days, but build in extra time if the employer is filing for this occupation category for the first time.
Prepare for consular nonimmigrant intent questions
Unlike H-1B visa holders, H-1B1 Singapore visa holders cannot claim dual intent. Bring clear documentation of your Singapore ties and a defined employment end date to demonstrate you intend to return after your authorized stay.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Manager, Product Management role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B1 Singapore?
Yes, product management qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business, computer science, or engineering. The employer must document this requirement in the Labor Condition Application and be prepared to confirm it at the consulate. Roles where a degree is listed as preferred rather than required can complicate this determination.
How does the H-1B1 Singapore visa differ from H-1B for product management professionals?
The H-1B1 Singapore visa skips the lottery entirely and is processed at the U.S. consulate in Singapore rather than through USCIS. The annual cap is 5,400 visas for Singaporeans, and it has never been exhausted. The key trade-off is that H-1B1 does not allow dual intent, so you can't use it as a direct stepping stone to a green card the way H-1B holders sometimes do.
Which employers sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas for product management roles?
Technology companies, financial services firms, and enterprise software companies are the most active sponsors for product management roles under the H-1B1 Singapore visa. Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings specifically by H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship, so you can focus your search on employers who have already demonstrated willingness and familiarity with this visa track.
Can my employer file the LCA for a product management role if they've never sponsored an H-1B1 before?
Yes, any U.S. employer can file an LCA with DOL for an H-1B1 Singapore visa regardless of prior sponsorship history. DOL typically certifies LCAs within seven business days. The practical challenge is internal: HR and legal teams unfamiliar with the H-1B1 process may need extra time to prepare documentation, so raise the visa requirement early in the offer stage.
How long does H-1B1 Singapore visa processing take for product management hires?
Once the employer's LCA is DOL-certified, you can schedule your consular appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore. Appointment availability varies by season, but the consular review itself is typically completed the same day. Total time from offer acceptance to visa in hand depends primarily on how quickly the employer files the LCA and how soon an appointment slot is available.
