INTRODUCTION
American farmers have made tremendous technology advancements through hardware improvements and investments in precision agriculture. However, when it comes to the back-office, most farms are decades behind, relying on spreadsheets, filing cabinets, and decades-old on-prem software to recruit, manage, and pay their workforce. Seso is addressing this problem by modernizing the back-office for the farm.
Our mission is to build the premier platform for agribusiness to hire and manage their workforce and improve the lives of agricultural workers. We are addressing American farmers’ biggest pain point - access to qualified labor - through a software-enabled labor solution that automates the H-2A visa. Our comprehensive HR platform streamlines and automates the hiring process for farms and seamlessly integrates their efforts across recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and insurance while providing workers access to financial services for the first time.
Seso has raised over $60M from Tier I investors including Index, Founders Fund, and Mary Meeker at Bond, and has been recognized with awards including Forbes Rising Stars and Andreessen Horowitz's American Dynamism 50.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as a Product Manager
Verify your role qualifies as seasonal
H-2A visa sponsorship requires the position to be temporary or seasonal in nature. Product Manager roles in agriculture must tie directly to a defined harvest cycle, planting season, or short-term operational push, not ongoing year-round management functions.
Pull the H-2A prevailing wage before negotiating
Use the OFLC Wage Search to find the Adverse Effect Wage Rate for your specific county and job classification. Your employer must pay whichever is higher between the AEWR and the prevailing wage, knowing both figures protects you in offer discussions.
Search verified H-2A sponsors on Migrate Mate
H-2A employers must file with DOL before hiring, creating a public record of sponsoring operations. Migrate Mate surfaces that DOL filing history so you can target agribusinesses and farm operators that have already completed the H-2A process for management-level roles.
Confirm housing and transportation terms in writing
H-2A employers are legally required to provide free housing and inbound transportation. Before signing any offer, get the specific housing location, commute arrangement, and whether return transportation is covered at contract end, all must meet DOL housing standards.
Check the O*NET profile for your job description language
Your employer's job order filed with DOL must accurately describe the role. Reviewing the O*NET occupation profile for Product Managers in agriculture helps you flag mismatches between what's filed and what you'll actually do, which can affect your visa approval.
Time your application around the job order certification window
Employers must submit the H-2A petition to USCIS no more than 75 days and no fewer than 18 days before your start date. Coordinate with your prospective employer on their DOL job order certification timeline so your visa filing doesn't miss the required window.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Product Manager jobs that offer H-2A visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended way to search, it filters for employers with verified H-2A filing history so you're only seeing operations that have already gone through the DOL sponsorship process. Standard job boards don't distinguish between employers willing to sponsor and those who have actually done it. Focus your search on large agribusinesses, packing operations, and vertically integrated farm companies, since they're most likely to need management-level roles within a seasonal structure.
What are the employer's legal obligations under H-2A for a Product Manager position?
H-2A employers must provide free housing that meets federal or state standards, pay inbound and outbound transportation costs, and guarantee wages for at least three-quarters of the contracted work period, called the three-fourths guarantee. They must also pay the Adverse Effect Wage Rate or the prevailing wage for the occupation, whichever is higher, and cover workers' compensation insurance for the duration of the contract.
Does a Product Manager role in agriculture actually qualify for H-2A classification?
It depends on whether the role is genuinely temporary or seasonal. H-2A is designed for positions tied to agricultural cycles, so a Product Manager overseeing a harvest season launch, a planting-cycle logistics push, or a time-bound agtech deployment can qualify. A permanent, year-round management position does not. USCIS reviews the job order and employer attestation to confirm the seasonal nature before approving the petition.
Can my H-2A status be extended if the agricultural season runs longer than expected?
Yes. Employers can file an extension petition with USCIS before your authorized period ends, up to a total stay of three years. Extensions require the employer to demonstrate the continued temporary or seasonal need and refile the labor certification with DOL. After reaching the three-year limit, you must depart the U.S. for at least three consecutive months before a new H-2A petition can be approved on your behalf.
