H-2B Visa HR Coordinator Jobs
HR Coordinator jobs with H-2B visa sponsorship are available through U.S. employers who need temporary staff for seasonal spikes in hospitality, resorts, and event operations. Employers must file a temporary labor certification with the DOL before sponsoring you, and the 66,000 annual cap means timing your application to the January or April filing window matters.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as a HR Coordinator
Verify your credentials match SOC requirements
H-2B visa positions are classified by Standard Occupational Codes. Pull the HR Coordinator profile on O*NET and confirm your work history aligns with the listed tasks and education level before applying, so your employer's DOL filing accurately reflects your qualifications.
Target employers with seasonal HR demand
Resorts, ski lodges, summer camps, and large event venues hire HR Coordinators to onboard seasonal workforces each year. These employers already understand the temporary labor certification process, making them far more likely to sponsor H-2B workers than year-round corporate offices.
Search H-2B sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings to employers with active H-2B filing history, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the process. Use it to find HR Coordinator roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring plan.
Understand the cap window before your employer files
USCIS splits the 66,000 annual H-2B cap into two halves: 33,000 for October through March start dates and 33,000 for April through September. Your employer must file after DOL certifies the labor application, and cap-subject petitions fill fast, so confirm your intended start date aligns with the correct half-year allocation.
Ask employers about prevailing wage before accepting offers
DOL requires H-2B employers to pay the prevailing wage for your occupation and work location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the rate for HR Coordinator in your destination county before negotiating, so you can confirm the offer meets the certified wage floor.
Confirm the employer has completed the recruitment test
Before DOL certifies the temporary labor application, employers must demonstrate they tried and failed to find qualified U.S. workers. Ask your prospective employer where they are in this process. If they haven't started, your H-2B petition timeline shifts accordingly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find HR Coordinator jobs with H-2B visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended way to search. It surfaces HR Coordinator listings from employers who already have H-2B filing history, so you're not spending time on roles where sponsorship isn't an option. Seasonal resort groups, hospitality management companies, and large outdoor recreation employers are the most consistent sources of H-2B HR Coordinator openings.
How does the H-2B annual cap affect my application timeline?
USCIS caps H-2B visas at 66,000 per fiscal year, split evenly between winter and summer halves. Demand regularly exhausts the cap within days of each filing window opening. Your employer needs DOL certification first, then files the I-129 petition with USCIS. Missing the cap window for your intended start date means waiting until the next half-year allocation opens, so coordinating with your employer on filing dates is critical.
What qualifications do H-2B employers typically require for HR Coordinator roles?
Most H-2B HR Coordinator positions require demonstrated experience in onboarding, recordkeeping, and employee relations, often in a high-volume seasonal environment. Employers must certify to DOL that the role genuinely requires your specific background. Bilingual candidates with experience managing large seasonal workforces, particularly in hospitality or outdoor recreation, are especially sought after for these filings.
Can an HR Coordinator on H-2B status work for a different employer mid-season?
No. The H-2B visa ties you to the specific employer named in the approved I-129 petition. Changing employers mid-season requires a new labor certification and a new USCIS petition, which takes time the seasonal calendar rarely allows. If your working relationship with the sponsoring employer ends early, your authorized stay is tied to that petition's validity period.
