Tips for Your Head Of Partnerships Job Search
Quantify your partnership revenue impact
Hiring managers for this role want to see pipeline and revenue numbers attached to your name. Replace vague phrases like 'grew partner network' with specific outcomes: new logo counts, co-sell revenue generated, or partner-sourced ARR percentage.
Tailor your resume to the partnership tier
Channel partnerships, strategic alliances, and ecosystem roles each have different skill emphases. Read the job description carefully and mirror its language around the specific partner type, whether that's resellers, technology partners, or agency networks.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists head of partnerships openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Filter openings by company growth stage
The role looks very different at a Series B startup versus an enterprise company. At an early-stage company you'll likely build the partner program from scratch, while at a larger company you'll inherit existing structures. Clarify which environment suits your strengths before targeting openings.
Prepare a partner program case study
Interviewers for this role almost always ask you to walk through a partner program you built or scaled. Have a structured example ready that covers the problem, your approach to recruiting and enabling partners, and the measurable outcome you drove.
Negotiate beyond base salary using equity and quota relief
Compensation packages for this role often include equity and variable pay tied to partner-sourced revenue. Before your final negotiation, clarify how partner-influenced deals are counted toward quota and what the equity vesting schedule looks like.
Head Of Partnerships Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most head of partnershipss?
The companies hiring the most head of partnershipss right now include Citi, State Street, and Socure, with the largest share of openings in New York, California, and Massachusetts, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. SaaS and fintech companies consistently account for a large portion of active postings.
How many head of partnerships jobs are remote?
About 30% of head of partnerships openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, making it one of the more location-flexible senior roles in business development. Ecosystem and technology alliance positions tend to be the most remote-friendly, while channel roles tied to a regional sales team more often require in-office or travel commitments.
How do you become a head of partnerships?
Most people reach this role by starting in sales, business development, or a partnerships coordinator role and progressively owning larger partner relationships. Building direct experience recruiting and enabling partners, closing co-sell agreements, and attributing revenue to the partner channel are the clearest signals hiring managers look for when promoting or hiring into this position.
Can you get hired as a head of partnerships without direct experience running a partner program?
Yes, especially at companies building their partner function for the first time. If you come from enterprise sales or business development, emphasize any experience co-selling with vendors, managing agency or reseller relationships, or negotiating complex agreements. Demonstrating that you understand how partners fit into a go-to-market motion matters more than a formal partnerships title on your resume.
What does the head of partnerships interview process look like?
The process typically includes an initial recruiter screen, a hiring manager conversation focused on your partnership philosophy and past program results, and a panel or executive round where you present a case study or 30-60-90 day plan. Some companies add a cross-functional loop with sales or product leaders to test how you collaborate beyond the partnerships team.
Where can I find and apply to head of partnerships jobs?
You can find and apply to head of partnerships jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Find roles that match your experience and apply directly to each listing from the page.
