HR Analyst Jobs in Kentucky: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a hr analyst in Kentucky?
Most Kentucky employers require a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field as the baseline for an hr analyst role. Kentucky does not issue a state-specific license for hr analysts, so the path runs through education, HRIS tool experience, and professional credentials. Earning a SHRM-CP or PHR certification is the most recognized way to signal readiness to Kentucky hiring managers, and both are achievable while working in an HR support or coordinator role.
How much do HR analysts make in Kentucky?
HR analysts in Kentucky earn a median of about $69,010 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $43,690 for the lowest 10% to over $107,940 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire hr analysts in Kentucky?
Kentucky hr analyst roles are posted by Appalachian Regional Healthcare, FUN, and Harrison Memorial Hospital and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Large corporate headquarters and regional shared-services centers in Louisville and Northern Kentucky tend to post the most consistent volume, particularly in healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services.
Which Kentucky cities have the most hr analyst jobs?
Prestonsburg, Owensboro, and Louisville account for the largest share of hr analyst openings in Kentucky. Louisville leads because it is home to major healthcare and logistics headquarters, while Lexington's mix of university, healthcare, and manufacturing employers supports steady demand, and Northern Kentucky benefits from its role as a shared-services hub for companies with operations on both sides of the Ohio River.
Are there remote hr analyst jobs in Kentucky?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 38% of hr analyst openings tied to Kentucky are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting that most of the analytical and reporting work in this role is done entirely on a computer. Workforce data analysis, HRIS configuration, and compensation benchmarking are the functions most likely to be offered on a fully remote basis by Kentucky employers.
How can I get hired as a hr analyst in Kentucky with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing an HR coordinator or HR generalist role first and building HRIS and reporting experience from there. Large Kentucky employers like Humana, Kindred Healthcare, and Toyota's HR shared-services teams regularly bring in new graduates through rotational or associate programs. A SHRM student membership and a portfolio of Excel or People Analytics coursework helps differentiate candidates without direct experience, and moving laterally from a payroll specialist or benefits administrator role is a well-worn route into the analyst track.
Where can I find and apply to hr analyst jobs in Kentucky?
You can find and apply to hr analyst jobs in Kentucky on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kentucky openings updated regularly. Search the roles available, find the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
