Proposed Salary Range: Starting at $14.42 Hourly (Based on Experience)
Work Location: On-site (No Hybrid or Remote)
The Assistant, HR coordinates employee relations activities such as employment, employee relations, training, and employee services. Assist in carrying out policies relating to all phases of Human Resources activity by performing the following duties.
The Assistant, HR should have the capability to read and interpret process information; and understand the impact their actions have on the quality objective.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Administrative Support: Manage daily operations of the HR department, including maintaining employee records (both digital and physical), processing paperwork for new hires, and coordinating logistics for HR-related events.
- Recruitment Process: Assist in posting job advertisements, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and preparing onboarding documentation for new employees.
- Employee Onboarding: Assist with monitoring the new hire process and generating ID Badges.
- Record Maintenance: Update and maintain employee files, payroll documents, and employee attendance records to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Data Management and Reporting: Support HR initiatives by compiling and analyzing data related to employee performance, attendance, and other HR metrics, often using HR software systems.
- Employee Relations: Assist with Employee requests/concerns. Coordinates Employee events and activities.
- Training: Assist with plans and implements training plan for all employees. Monitors Job Orientation Program. Assist Internal Instructor with regulatory courses.
- Terminations: Prepares documentation for terminations.
- Payroll/Timekeeping: Assist with weekly timesheets, attendance, and other payroll items as needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
One-year certification from a college or technical school; or six-months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must be computer literate. Must be familiar with employment practices, time and attendance procedures and have worked with an automated Time keeping system and Human Resources/Payroll system. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software: word, access and excel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
