Mid Level Insurance Sales Agent Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level insurance sales agent job?
Position your existing experience around ownership and results. Highlight a client portfolio you managed independently, retention rates you improved, or new business you originated without heavy supervision. Emphasize your product knowledge across lines like property and casualty, life, or commercial coverage. Applications that show measurable production history and a demonstrated ability to work without constant direction land mid level roles faster than those that only list titles.
Which companies hire mid level insurance sales agents?
Companies hiring mid level insurance sales agents right now include State Farm, Alliant Insurance Services, and Evarts Tremaine, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hiring at this level covers regional independent agencies, national carriers, and specialty brokerages that need experienced producers who can manage accounts with limited oversight.
Are there remote mid level insurance sales agent jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by line of business and employer type. About 33% of mid level insurance sales agent openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with personal lines and group benefits roles most likely to offer location flexibility. Commercial lines and complex account management positions more often require in-person client access.
How do I move up to a mid level insurance sales agent role?
The path from entry level to mid level comes from taking on progressively larger accounts, owning a book of business independently, and building a record of consistent production. Agents who pursue relevant designations, such as a licensed P&C or life and health credential, and who demonstrate they can retain clients and generate referrals without close direction are the ones who earn mid level responsibilities and titles over time.
Which industries hire the most mid level insurance sales agents?
Mid Level insurance sales agent roles concentrate in Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they require agents who already understand underwriting guidelines, carrier relationships, and consultative selling well enough to serve complex client needs without extensive training.
