Mid Level Advertising Sales Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level advertising sales manager job?
Position your existing experience around measurable outcomes: revenue generated, accounts grown, and deals closed. Highlight your ability to manage a pipeline independently, handle client relationships from pitch to renewal, and collaborate across creative and analytics teams. Tailor your resume to show ownership rather than just participation, and emphasize any experience with media planning tools, CRM platforms, or programmatic advertising channels relevant to the roles you are targeting.
Which companies hire mid level advertising sales managers?
Companies hiring mid level advertising sales managers right now include Amazon, Taboola, and Taboola, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from media companies, digital publishers, out-of-home advertising firms, and brands with in-house sales teams large enough to support dedicated account management layers.
Are there remote mid level advertising sales manager jobs?
Yes, though most remote roles still require occasional client-facing travel or onsite collaboration. About 17% of mid level advertising sales manager openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the strongest concentration in digital and programmatic advertising where client relationships are managed primarily through video calls and shared campaign dashboards rather than in-person meetings.
How do I move up to a mid level advertising sales manager role?
The path from entry level to mid level in advertising sales is built on demonstrating consistent quota attainment, expanding the complexity of accounts you handle, and taking initiative beyond your assigned responsibilities. Over time, developing deep knowledge of a specific advertising channel, building a book of repeat clients, and showing you can coordinate across internal teams without constant direction signals to employers that you are ready for greater ownership at the mid level.
Which industries hire the most mid level advertising sales managers?
Mid Level advertising sales manager roles concentrate in Marketing & Advertising, Retail, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive the strongest hiring at this level because they maintain large, active advertising budgets and structured sales organizations where mid level managers own defined client segments and revenue targets independently.
