Mid Level Sales And Business Development Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level sales and business development job?
Position your experience around outcomes you drove independently, such as deals you closed, territories you grew, or partnerships you structured without heavy direction. Tailor your resume to show quota attainment, account expansion, or pipeline contribution with concrete results. Highlight any experience mentoring junior teammates or owning a segment of the sales cycle, since mid level roles expect clear evidence of autonomous performance.
Which companies hire mid level sales and business developments?
Companies hiring mid level sales and business developments right now include Blossman Gas & Appliances, Snap-on, and AllEther, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from growth-stage technology companies, established enterprise software firms, and consumer brands scaling their revenue teams into new markets.
Are there remote mid level sales and business development jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by industry and role type. About 33% of mid level sales and business development openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the strongest remote options in SaaS, fintech, and other digitally native sectors where relationship management happens primarily through video and digital tools.
How do I move up to a mid level sales and business development role?
The path from entry level into mid level is built by progressively taking ownership of the full sales cycle rather than supporting pieces of it. Focus on developing a consistent methodology, deepening product or industry knowledge, and generating measurable outcomes like revenue growth or deal volume over time. Seeking out stretch assignments, leading pilot projects, and gathering quantifiable results positions you clearly for mid level consideration.
Which industries hire the most mid level sales and business developments?
Mid Level sales and business development roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Retail, and Automotive, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive strong mid level hiring because they operate on complex, consultative sales cycles that require experienced professionals capable of managing relationships and closing business without constant oversight.
