Entry Level Interventional Cardiologist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level interventional cardiologist job?
Employers hiring at this level look for completed residency and fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, board eligibility or certification, and demonstrated hands-on experience with procedures such as percutaneous coronary intervention. Strong fellowship case volumes, letters of recommendation from attending physicians, and familiarity with cath lab protocols give entry level candidates a real edge over less clinically prepared applicants.
Which companies hire entry level interventional cardiologists?
Companies hiring entry level interventional cardiologists right now include CommonSpirit Health, SSM Health, and Indiana University Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Health systems, regional hospital networks, and cardiology group practices are the most active employers at this stage, particularly those looking to grow procedural volume without requiring years of independent attending experience.
Are there remote entry level interventional cardiologist jobs?
Yes, though the role is primarily procedure-based and on-site by nature. About 0% of entry level interventional cardiologist openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to involve telehealth consultations, care coordination, or administrative cardiology work rather than hands-on cath lab procedures.
Are these new grad interventional cardiologist jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior interventional cardiologist roles. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of independent experience, accepts fellowship training in place of attending tenure, and does not require an established procedural case volume. Some postings explicitly invite candidates who completed fellowship within the past one to two years.
Which industries hire the most entry level interventional cardiologists?
Entry Level interventional cardiologist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive the most entry level hiring because they are actively expanding cardiac service lines and need procedurally trained physicians who can grow within a supervised or group practice environment.
