OneOncology is positioning community oncologists to drive the future of medical care through a patient-centric, physician-driven, and technology-powered model to help improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and other diseases. Our team is bringing together leaders to the market place to help drive OneOncology’s mission and vision.
Why join us? This is an exciting time to join OneOncology. Our values-driven culture reflects our startup enthusiasm supported by industry leaders in oncology, urology, technology, and finance. We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to improve and build new processes that support the meaningful work of independent physicians and the patients they serve.
Job Description:
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director, IT Integrations and Projects to lead practice integrations, IT projects, and the enterprise Tech Refresh program. Reporting to the VP, IT Support Model, this Director owns the playbook and execution for every kind of practice onboarding — anchor integrations, tuck-ins, and full mergers — and leads the multi-year Tech Refresh program that brings practice site hardware and infrastructure up to OneOncology’s standards. The Director is accountable for delivering integration milestones on schedule, on budget, and with minimal disruption to clinical operations, while building a repeatable, scalable engine that supports OneOncology’s continued growth.
This role is onsite/hybrid in the corporate Nashville, TN office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all IT practice integrations and projects within ITSM, including anchor practice integrations, tuck-in integrations, and merger-driven onboardings — from initial due diligence through go-live and post-go-live stabilization.
- Build and continuously refine a repeatable integration playbook covering discovery, planning, network and identity cutover, application onboarding, end-user readiness, and hypercare — so each new integration is faster, cleaner, and more predictable than the last.
- Lead the enterprise Tech Refresh program, refreshing site hardware and infrastructure — including end-user devices, networking, wireless, servers, and supporting systems — to bring every practice up to OneOncology’s technology standards.
- Own the integration and project portfolio for ITSM — sequencing work, allocating resources, and balancing competing demands across simultaneous integrations, refresh waves, and other practice-impacting projects.
- Establish project governance, status reporting, risk management, and executive communications for every integration and Tech Refresh wave — giving leadership and practice partners a clear, honest view of progress, risks, and decisions needed.
- Coordinate across IT workstreams — infrastructure, networking, end-user services, security, identity, applications, and clinical IT — to ensure each integration and refresh effort lands as a single, cohesive delivery rather than a set of disconnected workstreams.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of project engineers— cultivating a culture of accountability, customer focus, and shared ownership across the function.
- Drive data-driven decision making across the function, using portfolio dashboards, integration scorecards, and refresh metrics to surface trends, root causes, and opportunities to improve speed, quality, and cost.
- Partner with architecture, security, and operations leaders to keep OneOncology’s technology standards current — and ensure every integration and refresh wave leaves practices fully aligned with those standards.
- Define and operationalize the metrics and KPIs that define success for the function — including time-to-integrate, on-time/on-budget delivery, refresh wave completion, practice satisfaction, and post-go-live ticket volumes.
- Act as a critical thought partner to the VP, IT Support Model and broader IT leadership team — turning ideas, lessons learned, and emerging needs into concrete plans, programs, and accomplishments.
- Own the budget for integration projects and the Tech Refresh program — building defensible business cases, managing capital and operating spend, and partnering with finance and procurement to optimize vendor and hardware costs.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Required or Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years leading integrations or large-scale infrastructure programs
- Experience leading IT integration for mergers, acquisitions, and tuck-ins
- Hands-on experience leading enterprise hardware and infrastructure refresh programs at scale
- Experience working with internal teams, external partners, and senior leadership
- Experience managing hardware vendors, integrators, and managed service providers
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (advanced degree and/or PMP preferred) or equivalent experience.
Essential Competencies:
- Ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously with strong execution discipline
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship building
- Analytical problem-solving with the ability to synthesize technical and operational inputs
- Effective communication and influence across all organizational levels
- Ability to translate clinical and operational needs into practical technology solutions
- Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost/value analysis
- Strategic thinking with initiative and leadership by example
- Adaptability and comfort working across technical, operational, and clinical environments
- Attendance is an essential job function.
