Junior Analyst Jobs in Kentucky: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a junior analyst in Kentucky?
Most junior analyst roles in Kentucky require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. No state-issued license is required for general analytical work, but candidates targeting financial services firms in Louisville often benefit from passing the SIE exam or beginning CFA coursework. Kentucky employers in healthcare analytics or government frequently favor candidates with internship experience at local institutions or state agencies.
Which companies hire junior analysts in Kentucky?
Companies currently hiring junior analysts in Kentucky include Valvoline Instant Oil Change, S&ME, and GPD, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Kentucky's concentration of healthcare, energy, and state government employers means junior analysts with industry-specific knowledge tend to move through hiring processes faster than generalists.
Which Kentucky cities have the most junior analyst jobs?
Louisville, Lexington, and Kentucky are the Kentucky cities with the most junior analyst openings. Louisville drives the largest share due to its headquarters-dense financial and healthcare sectors, Lexington contributes through its university-linked research and insurance employers, and Frankfort draws openings tied directly to state government agencies and regulatory bodies.
Are there remote junior analyst jobs in Kentucky?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 20% of junior analyst openings tied to Kentucky are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting the desk-based and data-driven nature of the work. Financial and data analysis tasks are the most likely to be fully remote, while operations and policy analyst roles tied to state agencies or regulated facilities more commonly require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a junior analyst in Kentucky with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to rotational or new-graduate analyst programs at large Kentucky employers like Humana or Ashland, both of which recruit recent graduates into structured cohort programs. Candidates can also move laterally from adjacent roles such as administrative coordinator, reporting associate, or audit assistant into junior analyst positions. A portfolio of Excel models, a completed data analytics certificate, or documented internship work with a Kentucky state agency or university research office strengthens any application significantly.
Where can I find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Kentucky?
You can find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Kentucky on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and experience level, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
