Junior Analyst Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a junior analyst in Louisiana?
Most junior analyst roles in Louisiana require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or a quantitative field such as mathematics or statistics. No state-issued license is required for the role itself, though analysts working in securities or investment advisory functions may need FINRA registrations such as the Series 63 or Series 65, coordinated through their employer. Louisiana employers typically prioritize candidates with relevant coursework, internship experience, and demonstrated proficiency in Excel or data tools.
Which companies hire junior analysts in Louisiana?
Employers hiring junior analysts in Louisiana right now include Ethos Risk Services, Cleft of the Rock, and ECS Limited, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Louisiana's energy, healthcare, and state government sectors are particularly active sources of junior analyst openings year-round.
Which Louisiana cities have the most junior analyst jobs?
Baton Rouge, Ruston, and Hammond have the most junior analyst openings in Louisiana. Baton Rouge leads because of its concentration of state government agencies, petrochemical firms, and financial services companies, while New Orleans draws openings from healthcare systems, hospitality analytics, and port-related logistics operations, and Shreveport contributes openings tied to regional banking, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Are there remote junior analyst jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and analytical roles tend to be more remote-friendly than most fields. About 0% of junior analyst openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of the work. Roles focused on financial reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence are the most likely to offer remote or hybrid arrangements, while positions requiring on-site collaboration with operations teams tend to be in-person.
How can I get hired as a junior analyst in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to rotational or new-graduate analyst programs at large Louisiana employers such as Entergy, Ochsner Health, or state agencies including the Louisiana Division of Administration. Internships completed during a degree program carry significant weight with these employers. Candidates can also move laterally from adjacent roles such as financial coordinator, data entry specialist, or administrative analyst. Building a portfolio of Excel models or a basic Tableau dashboard strengthens an application considerably for candidates without formal work history.
Where can I find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and location preferences, and apply directly to each listing that fits.
