What You’ll Do
As an LCSW with Milestones, you will use your clinical expertise to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build skills, navigate challenges, and improve their overall well-being.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide clinical assessment, consultation, and therapeutic support tailored to the individual needs of people with IDD.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment approaches and behavior support strategies in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Conduct assessments to identify behavioral, emotional, environmental, and psychosocial needs.
- Support the development of person-centered goals that promote independence, self-advocacy, emotional regulation, and quality of life.
- Collaborate with individuals, families, caregivers, direct support professionals, and other providers to promote consistent, effective care.
- Provide consultation, guidance, and training to team members and community partners on strategies that support positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensure services align with applicable professional standards, regulatory requirements, and payer guidelines.
- Monitor progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and adjust service recommendations as needed.
