Logistics Manager Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a logistics manager job in Seattle?
Focus your search on Seattle's port-adjacent freight and third-party logistics companies in SoDo, the aerospace supply chain ecosystem anchored in Renton and Auburn, and the large retail and e-commerce distribution operations east of the city. Candidates who can demonstrate experience managing high-volume inbound or outbound freight, proficiency with warehouse management systems, and familiarity with multimodal shipping through the Port of Seattle stand out in this market.
Which companies hire logistics managers in Seattle?
Employers hiring logistics managers in Seattle right now include Amazon, Amazon Web Services, and TikTok, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. The local market is shaped by a mix of global freight forwarders near the port, major retailers with Pacific Northwest distribution centers, and aerospace manufacturers with complex parts and components supply chains.
Are there remote logistics manager jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though with limits: logistics manager roles tied to physical operations, warehouse oversight, or port coordination are almost always on-site, while demand planning, vendor management, and supply chain analytics functions can run remotely. About 4% of logistics manager openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, skewing toward tech-sector supply chain and procurement roles based on the Eastside.
How can I get a logistics manager job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path locally is through a logistics coordinator or operations associate role at one of Seattle's third-party logistics providers or large e-commerce fulfillment operators in SoDo or Kent. These employers regularly promote from within once candidates demonstrate reliability and systems fluency. A background in supply chain coursework from a Washington state university, combined with any hands-on warehouse or freight forwarding experience, gives you a concrete edge when applying to supervisory openings.
Which industries hire the most logistics managers in Seattle?
The sectors hiring the most logistics managers in Seattle are Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Seattle's position as a major Pacific Rim gateway port, combined with its concentration of aerospace manufacturers and large-format retailers, keeps sustained demand across all three sectors throughout the year.
