Marketing Jobs in Brooklyn: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a marketing job in Brooklyn?
Focus your search on Brooklyn's strongest hiring sectors: consumer brands, media companies, food and beverage labels, and direct-to-consumer e-commerce firms clustered in DUMBO and Williamsburg. Agency-side experience travels well here, as does fluency in digital channels like paid social and email. Candidates who can show measurable campaign results and a portfolio tailored to consumer audiences tend to stand out in Brooklyn's creative, brand-forward market.
Which companies hire marketings in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn marketing roles are posted by Topfoxx, Ak services, and Parkside Pups and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Brooklyn's employer mix leans heavily toward consumer brands, independent agencies, healthcare systems like NYU Langone Brooklyn, and media organizations with strong local roots.
Are there remote marketing jobs in Brooklyn?
Yes, marketing is one of the more remote-adaptable fields, particularly for roles in content, SEO, email, and paid digital. About 29% of marketing openings tied to Brooklyn are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting broader flexibility across digital-focused functions. Brand management and experiential roles tied to Brooklyn's retail and events scene tend to require more in-person presence.
How can I get a marketing job in Brooklyn with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Brooklyn is through coordinator or marketing associate roles at consumer brands, boutique agencies, or Brooklyn-based nonprofits, where generalist skills get hands-on development quickly. Building a portfolio through freelance projects for local small businesses, Brooklyn Market vendors, or community organizations adds concrete work samples. Roles in social media coordination and email marketing are common first steps that open doors to broader marketing careers in the borough.
