Mental Health Counselor Jobs in Illinois

Konick & Associates is seeking a fully licensed, experienced mental health clinician to join our collaborative group practice with a specialty focus in women’s mental health and women’s health across the lifespan. The primary client population for this role will include teen girls and adult women navigating emotional, psychological, relational, and life-stage concerns.

We are particularly interested in clinicians with specialized training or experience supporting women through perinatal and postpartum mental health, pregnancy and fertility-related concerns, parenting transitions, perimenopause and menopause, and other health and developmental transitions that can significantly affect emotional well-being. The ideal candidate brings a nuanced understanding of the intersection between physical health, hormones, identity, relationships, and mental health.

Clinicians at Konick & Associates provide evidence-based, individualized therapy within a collaborative group practice. The clinician in this role will work with women experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, identity development, stress, and other mental health concerns, while developing a specialty around women’s health.

Experience working with neurodivergent women and teens, LGBTQ+ clients, and individuals with complex or intersecting mental health and health-related concerns is highly valued and aligns with specialty areas of the practice.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed PhD/PsyD, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent independent clinical license eligible for practice and insurance credentialing in Illinois
• Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited educational program
• Several years of post-licensure clinical experience providing individual therapy to adolescents and/or adults
• Specialized training, clinical experience, or a strong professional interest in women’s mental health and women’s health
• Experience with one or more of the following highly valued:
• Perinatal and postpartum mental health
• Pregnancy, fertility, pregnancy loss, or reproductive health concerns
• Parenting and adjustment to motherhood
• Perimenopause and menopause
• Hormonal or health-related transitions affecting emotional well-being
• Body image, identity, or women’s health-related concerns
• Anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship concerns affecting women across the lifespan
• Strong clinical skills and ability to provide evidence-based, individualized treatment
• Experience working with neurodivergent individuals and/or LGBTQ+ clients highly valued
• Commitment to culturally responsive, affirming, trauma-informed, and collaborative care
• Strong communication, professionalism, clinical judgment, and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary group practice and participate in ongoing professional development

Clinical & Professional Support

• Ongoing administrative support for documentation, compliance, and workflow integration
• Weekly individual clinical supervision for associate level clinicians working towards independent licensure

Operational Support

• Full billing and credentialing support, including paneling with BCBS, United/Optum Health, and Aetna

Compensation & Benefits

• W-2 employment status

• Independently licensed master’s level clinicians (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) are estimated to start at $73,000+ annually based on meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Associate level therapists (LPC, LSW, ALMFT) are estimated to start at $63,000+ annually based on meeting or exceeding expectations.
