New Grad Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a new grad in Minnesota?
New grads in Minnesota complete an accredited degree program and, for licensed roles, obtain the required Minnesota credential through the relevant state board before or shortly after hire. Clinical roles require licensure through the Minnesota Board of Nursing, Medical Practice, or other applicable board, while engineering roles may require an EIT designation through the Minnesota Board of AELSLAGID. Desk and analytical roles typically require only degree completion and any role-specific certifications.
Which companies hire new grads in Minnesota?
Companies currently hiring new grads in Minnesota include Essentia Health, Allina Health, and Quanta Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major health systems means new grad hiring programs here tend to be structured, with defined cohort starts and mentorship tracks.
Which Minnesota cities have the most new grad jobs?
Minneapolis, Avon, and Duluth account for the largest share of new grad openings in Minnesota. The Twin Cities metro drives the majority of listings due to its density of corporate headquarters, major health systems, and technology employers, while Rochester's concentration around Mayo Clinic anchors clinical and biomedical roles, and Duluth supports healthcare and engineering positions tied to its regional institutions.
Are there remote new grad jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and they are reasonably common for desk-based and analytical roles. About 0% of new grad openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting the state's strong presence in financial services, technology, and insurance. Clinical, nursing, and trades-based new grad roles remain almost entirely on-site by the nature of the work.
How can I get hired as a new grad in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is applying directly to structured new grad or early-career programs at large Minnesota employers, which are designed for candidates without professional experience. Mayo Clinic, Fairview Health Services, and Allina Health run formal new grad nurse residency programs, while employers like Cargill, Target, and Ameriprise Financial offer rotational associate programs for business and analytical graduates. Completing a Minnesota-based internship or co-op during school, or obtaining the relevant state license before applying, gives candidates a measurable edge over those who wait.
Where can I find and apply to new grad jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to new grad jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target location, and apply directly to each position.
