Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and transfer methods.
• Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to nursing staff.
• Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and records.
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, utilizing techniques like aseptic procedures and dementia-specific care strategies.
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and manual handling using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals—including ICU, trauma centers, PICU—and outpatient clinics to ensure seamless patient service.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations.
• Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR).
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and execute safe patient handling techniques.
• Prior experience in diverse healthcare environments including hospital medicine, home care, hospice, or assisted living is desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and coordinate with healthcare teams.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
