This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.
What You Will Do:
Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown is looking for an OB/GYN to join our high volume OB/GYN Hospitalist program.
Responsibilities:
- Join an established team of 2 physicians and 2 APPs
- Call structure: Rotating schedule; 12 or 24-hour shifts
- Practice setting: inpatient
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
- Manage high-volume, rewarding clinical scenarios across Labor & Delivery (L&D), High-Risk OB (HROB), and Postpartum (PP) units.
- Provide expert evaluation and treatment in the dedicated OB/GYN Emergency Department, and lead emergency surgeries for unassigned GYN inpatients.
About the Facility:
- 683 licensed acute and rehab care beds
- Serving a population of approximately 730,000
- High volume specialty care in women's health, orthopedics and multidisciplinary lung cancer and robotic surgery
- Recent expansions at our Midtown hospital include a new ICU and surgical tower, and the Women’s Hospital Pavilion which opened in 2023.

What You Will Need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
