Occupational Therapist Jobs in Fort Worth: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a occupational therapist job in Fort Worth?
Fort Worth's strongest hiring comes from its large hospital systems, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, pediatric clinics, and public school districts in Tarrant County. Candidates with experience in hand therapy, pediatrics, or acute care stand out in this market. Focusing your search on the Medical District, Near Southside, and outlying suburban districts like Keller and Burleson, where outpatient and school-based roles concentrate, gives you a practical edge over applicants targeting the city broadly.
Which companies hire occupational therapists in Fort Worth?
Employers hiring occupational therapists in Fort Worth right now include Monkey Mouths, Collage Rehabilitation Partners, and Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The local market is anchored by large hospital networks, long-term care facilities, pediatric specialty clinics, and the Fort Worth Independent School District and neighboring Keller and Crowley districts.
Are there remote occupational therapist jobs in Fort Worth?
Yes, but occupational therapy is largely a hands-on clinical role, so fully remote positions are rare. About 0% of occupational therapist openings tied to Fort Worth are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to involve telehealth OT consultations, care coordination, or utilization review rather than direct patient treatment.
How can I get a occupational therapist job in Fort Worth with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Fort Worth is securing a fieldwork placement or post-graduate residency through one of the city's large hospital systems or pediatric clinics, which regularly take on new graduates. The Fort Worth ISD and neighboring school districts also hire entry-level OTs for school-based positions, where caseload support and mentorship are more structured. Applying to skilled nursing facilities in the Fort Worth metro is another consistent entry point for candidates building their clinical hours.
