Operations Analyst Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a operations analyst in Missouri?
Most operations analyst roles in Missouri require a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, industrial engineering, or a closely related field. Missouri does not have a state-issued license specific to operations analysts, so entry typically follows an academic path combined with internship or co-op experience. Earning a Lean Six Sigma certification, even at the Green Belt level, meaningfully strengthens applications with Missouri's large manufacturing and healthcare employers.
How much do operations analysts make in Missouri?
Operations analysts in Missouri earn a median of about $97,270 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $60,690 for the lowest 10% to over $153,300 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire operations analysts in Missouri?
Employers hiring operations analysts in Missouri right now include Jack Henry & Associates, Boeing, and Commerce Bank, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Missouri's deep presence in financial services, healthcare IT, and industrial manufacturing means large anchor employers like these tend to hire analysts on a rolling basis rather than in short seasonal bursts.
Which Missouri cities have the most operations analyst jobs?
Kansas City, St. Louis, and Springfield have the most operations analyst openings in Missouri. Kansas City leads because of its concentration of financial services firms, logistics hubs, and healthcare networks, while St. Louis adds volume through its established base of manufacturing headquarters, insurance companies, and expanding technology operations. Columbia's openings cluster around the University of Missouri Health Care system and regional insurers headquartered there.
Are there remote operations analyst jobs in Missouri?
Yes, and more than most fields, because operations analyst work centers on data modeling, reporting, and process documentation that translates well to remote environments. About 57% of operations analyst openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly the role has shifted away from on-site requirements. Roles focused on financial modeling, business intelligence, and supply chain analytics tend to carry the most remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as a operations analyst in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an analyst associate or operations rotational program at a large Missouri employer. Companies like Cerner, Edward Jones, and major healthcare networks in Kansas City and St. Louis run structured rotational and new-graduate programs that place candidates without direct experience into analyst functions. Lateral moves from roles like administrative coordinator, logistics associate, or financial services representative are common entry points. Building a working portfolio in Excel or SQL and earning a foundational Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt credential gives Missouri applicants a concrete edge over other candidates at the same experience level.
Where can I find and apply to operations analyst jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to operations analyst jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current Missouri openings updated in real time. Search the listings, find the roles that match your experience and location, and apply directly through each posting. No account creation is required to search or view the openings.
