Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safely oriented I&E Technician with an excellent mechanical aptitude with great troubleshooting skills to join our El Dorado, AR team!
The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting PLCs along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.
Union Wage: $36.50

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
- Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
- Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
- Variable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and installation
- Maintains accurate records and logs as required
- Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
- Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
- Services and replaces motors and lighting
- Performs general electrical maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
What does it take to work for Synergy, a Clean Harbors Company?
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ years combined of plant experience and related education preferred
- Instrument and/or electrical training, degree, or certification preferred
- Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics
- Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams (PID)
- VFD troubleshooting and installation experience a plus!
- Three phase 480v
- Must be able to pass a paper test
